My '23 Sport EcoD had the bottoming out issue as well, even with the updated bumpstop design and the updated shocks. Adding just a 1" spacer on top of the springs and switching over to Bilstein 5100 shocks resolved the issue for the most part. I've been driving it like this for over a year, and...
Sorry for the late update. I suddenly had a lot going on that needed my attention. Thank you all for the replies. To provide some more background, I only loosened the lower control arms when I installed the 1" spacers. I did not touch the track bar or upper control arms.
Fast forward to today...
I have a '23 Sport S Eco D and upgraded the LCAs with ones from the Mopar lift kit to increase caster. Immediately, I noticed a pull to the right. I then proceeded to install 1" coil spacers, Bilstein shocks and steering dampener. I also retorqued the lower control arms again with the truck on...
In preparation for an upcoming Moab trip, I installed the 41.22 hitch slider. It was a little loose in the receiver, so I wrapped part of it with plastic wrap until it fit snugly.
That's good to know! It's my first diesel, so I'm not familiar with how they're supposed to sound when starting in the cold. I'll try what you recomended. Loving the heck out of it.
In early ownership of my 2023 EcoDiesel Gladiator, I noticed a straining sound during startup, especially in freezing temperatures during the winter of 2022/2023. Despite limited online information and anticipation of a pump recall, I didn't address it. After the pump recall, the sound...
Yep, this is correct. I saw a brand new '23 eco diesel sit in the back at my local dealership for almost a year waiting for the new pump before they could pull it out front for sale.
I wonder that as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the exact same pump, and they're hoping that by starting everybody fresh with a new pump and by changing the fuel filters every 10k miles, it will help it last until we're just outside the warranty period.
Just wanted to update. We had some cold weather and I did a cold start in -11f weather (gladiator sits outside) to take my daughter to school. I had it warm up for almost 10 minutes before driving off...I don't know if it's a coincidence but the buzzing sound seems louder now (after you shut it...
I've had the soft top for a little over a year and I love it. It's fast to put up/down and you don't have to worry about storing panels (except for the rear window and corner pieces, I usually lesve those on).
I got a sticker under my hood and they left paperwork on my passenger seat. They did a messy job though (as you all know already). I still have the buzzing sound, which is normal, but it is a little quieter than before. Startups are a lot quieter than before. Before the recall, my pump sounded...
Got mine done the other day. My gladiator was only the second one they've done. They had it for just over 4 hours. I wish I could say it was a positive experience but they made a huge mess with fuel all over the differential, track bar, tie rod, etc. They could have, at the very least, wiped it...
This hasn't been my experience with the diesel. I don't know if I'm just lucky but I bought a brand new '23 EcoDiesel Gladiator last year just before winter hit hard and I had no issues with starting or winter performance. I did regular starts with the weather at or even lower than -20c. This is...
My gladiator was really hard to shift at first, 4Hi or 4Lo. I remember thinking I was going to break the lever the first time trying. It definitely needs to be broken in. I would try to get it in and out of 4Hi at least once a week, and a bonus if you work it into and out of 4Lo..
For me...
Reviving this thread... I'm going to be adding a 1" Spacer and going up to 34" tires on my Gladiator. Would these slightly longer control arms (68322798AA) benefit my set up although it will have stock Diesel Sport S springs?
I was just thinking since I'll be loosening the control arms anyway...
So are these decent in the rain or not? It seems like there are some mixed reviews in that regard. If there is slippage from a stop at the rear tires when the road surface is wet, then that doesn't seem like a big deal to me. It is something that I even experience from time to time with the...
I have a '23 Gladiator Diesel Sport, which has been nice everywhere I drive. It climbs hills in the canyons, where I live effortlessly and often in 8th gear. I'm also very comfortable passing anyone on the road as needed. It is nice having all that torque in reserve when I need it.
You must...
