Very nice!
Maybe I am missing it but I don't see on your website how to order the optional skids or hidden receiver. I saw your YouTube vid that compares the two and it mentions the receiver is a prototype. Is it perhaps not yet available? Also are the "Skids" the aluminum plates visible in the...
6'2" here and same problem and solution. I recommend the slammers as well. Very comfortable now. Was a bit nervous cutting the seat frame, but very glad I did. I drove 8hrs to Rubicon, 2 days of wheeling, and 8hrs back, and was very comfortable the entire trip.
I am also a fan of Rockhard's sliders and skids and figured I'd share my experience to help folks decide. I went with the downward angled ones as my wife needed a step to climb in. They do offer significant help entering/exiting and they are definitely built to withstand some serious rock...
I have the CavFab ones up front. They clear 40"s at full lock with my Clayton 3.5" lift. Don't have any complaints after about 6Mos and several trails including John Bull.
Looks very clean that way. I still have the factory bumper so I just removed the flap extending below. I used a dremmel with a cut off wheel, then took a grinder with a light sanding flap wheel to smooth it back towards my desired line. Only took two beers worth of courage. Just need to touch up...
We’d love to see the video if you have a link. Like I said the video I linked doesn’t show the how just the results but he cut across to the rear. We were thinking of just cutting the portion behind the wheel.
This is the video I was referring to. Didn't realize it was a "Banned Site" (he has great content). It only shows the results and I was wondering if anyone here has done either that or just cut the portion that is exposed in the thread above off which is what I was contemplating.
Anyone ever cut that piece of metal off?
I saw a video from [Banned Site] showing his cut back from that point straight across and while it wasn't a "how to video" the outcome was pretty clean looking. I am tempted to just cut this portion off since I am still running the stock rear bumper but was...
If you’re referring to my rig, appreciate it. The cowl lights are by D & C Designs. They function both as an amber turn signal and as a ditch light. They are pretty bright I really like them. The Gobi color doesn’t match as well as most the others I’ve seen. The antenna is for my Midland MXT275...
I took the leap yesterday. I chose to run Teraflex Nomad split spokes with a -12 offset after reading the positive feedback from a bunch of members here and so far really like what I see. Axles are getting the necessary treatment but still not sure what front inners to go with. So far the AAL...
I would add a 36mm for axle nut and a 12pt socket in a 13mm in case you blow a u-joint or an axle. There's a few videos on uTube that will show you how to get off the trail in 3wd.
Mine doesn’t get that close and I just added the Clayton mount so I can keep an eye on the torque for my Track bar. (Trying to chase down a light click sound).
