  1. 55k miles, I can feel the wobble coming…

Alright Friends, you got me through the tightening phase. Feeling pretty good. A few items stick out, wondering if they are DIY, or find a pro? Steering stabilizer, front shocks are leaking, back sway links bushings are worn out. ( I may not be identifying the rear sway link right...) Thoughts?

  7. What if.... I don't?

Hey Team, Time to swap tires. 2021, Sport S, Tow Package, 4.10 gearing, 2.5" RE lift. Have a friend that is swapping his 37's for 40's. 37's (KO2's) are still fresh and shiny. For the sake of argument, If I were to strap the hand me down 37's on mine and NOT regear right now, what are the...
  8. Lift / Suspension Aging

Morning Team, Let's talk lift kits and suspension in general. I'm planning to run my Gladiator into the ground. ~50k miles in at this point. Any experience / guidance on swapping out suspension parts over just age? And, anyone have any experience / guidance on the longer lasting lift...
  9. GMRS Radio Variables

I think my intended purpose is to setup the best for wheeling, overlanding, and long distance without having to become pros like many of the gang is here. I love learning from this group. I know I’m not going to be off grid in the middle of red dawn. Mostly I’ll be mid group in a Jeep Jam…. But...
  10. GMRS Radio Variables

@CrazyCooter, @cranbiz, Thank you both. Follow on for you. Antenna, got it. Any recommendations for just a solid all around? I was hoping to pull a couple of pros like you guys, but I don't know I'll be in a scenario to have multiple choices. My max is a few day overland deliberately away...
  11. GMRS Radio Variables

Good morning Team, Look, up front, of course bigger's better. Looking for a conversation here. When we think about our GMRS radios, you've got the 5 watt hand helds, cheaper mounted 15 watts and the big monster 50 watters. What say you friends? When out on the trail, I've found the hand helds...
  12. Your thoughts on towing this

Give yourself bigger margin. We've been pulling an RPod 202 and it's longer, cheaper, tougher, roomier, and has that margin to spare.
  13. Oracle flush mount tail lights

I have them. Love them, and I'll add one went bad a few months ago and Oracle replaced it without question. As for install, just use the video on the installation tab on the right of that link you posted. Couldn't be easier.
  14. What's a mod that you wouldn't do again?

Billy, thank you for this. Several things I wouldn't have considered (all though I'm well versed in the nooks and crannies problem). You've saved us all thousands.... JP
  15. Overlanding gear

Hi Mike! So, this is an older post for you. So, here we are a few years later. What's your experience now? Have you bounced this around the woods for several days? Have you modified this setup? Do you still like the Kobalts.... talk to us! And thanks JP
  16. Sport S Lift w/ Max Tow (And you actually Tow!)

Team, Talk to me. I've read every post on lifting a max tow, lot's of opinions and great ideas. I'm down to two possibilities, but what I haven't read out of everyone is actual on the ground experience. If you have the Sport S Max Tow, AND you've lifted it, added tires, AND you're actually...
  17. Practical, Useful, or just Cool

Rog.... You know... Rack - No rack - Rack... Cap ( I said cab....my bad)- Very cool.... thus the question
  18. Practical, Useful, or just Cool

Hi Team, I'm sure I speak for a few of us out here thinking about Rack/No Rack, Cab/No Cab. I see pros/cons to each. For those of you who have mastered the coolness of the rack with many cool things dripping off the sides, How Useful have you found your rack/overlanding setups to be in...
