I'm asking a simple configuration question and you jackasses are accusing me of trying to out engineer the designers lmao.
Fuck this website and fuck it's users.
The ram 1500 and the gladiator both have the shocks mounted to the chassis significantly forward of the rear axle. This means any fast movement is getting transferred to the frame at that pivot point, which means weight in the bed and on the tongue has far more leverage over sudden shocks than...
yeah I've seen there's a sharp divide in the community over it, but by payload and tongue weight I merely mean the downward force on the bed behind the rear wheel and its contribution to bent frames, not ultimate towing capacity.
That is what drove me to compare. However, I just took the bed off my jt for a wrap and that frame looks stout. I think people are running too long of shocks in the rear, since the design is more a ram 1500 in the rear than a jl? Since the shocks mount a foot further forward of the bump...
wow a 9.75 inch rear. I don't even know what axle that would come in.
Springs can be easily taken care of. Brakes shouldn't be an issue if the trailer has them. I was assuming the gladiator frame was just weaker, but it looks like the main difference is the rear end.
okay in total there's 6 15mm bolts, 3 wiring clips that are in the wheel wells, and all the bolts around the fuel hose mounts. The fuel hoses pull from the inside boot of the fuel door, but the main hose is rigid so it requires the bed to be lifted quite a bit to get clear. It takes a few...
Does anyone know how to remove the bed of the gladiator?
I removed the 6 15mm bolts and two plugs holding the bed to the frame, but now the fuel lines going to the fuel door are holding things up. This is a diesel, by the way.
How do I get these hoses disconnected from the fuel panel...
The solid axle of the jeep and the better power plants (for the money) have me grounded on the gladiator. However, ford's automotive design team is making the most aesthetic cars in the industry imo. The s550 and bronco are instant classics.
yes the atf has become a model for ever encroaching alphabet bureaucracy of all flavors. And like the push back the atf gets on gun forums, the automotive community should be standing up for itself as well. Bump stock ban was recently ruled unconstitutional using language that implies that the...
I asked the jeep dealer when looking at a used 2022 gladiator two weeks ago. I ended up buying a new one for the same price, from a different dealer regardless. If you have proof otherwise, please share it. It would be good news to hear.

How do additives reduce cavitation?
Per the previously posted diesel magazine article, cavitation is what is killing these pumps. I assume some were not being primed properly from the factory, and others were not primed properly after filter changes. I'm not confident additives address any of...
