Anyone regret getting a Black JT? Scratches/ dirt unbearable? Or just adds to the character? Look better with non painted, standard fenders/hardtop? Much mirror effect?
From what I see on the newer Rhino linings it is less rubbery and better UV protection than in the past. Seems a bit thinner as well. I guess they redid their formula couple years ago.
Any real difference between doing this with line X vs Rhino lining?
Have a Rhino lining shop here in town, they say can do. Line X shop is over an hour away.
Looking at cam locker tool box. Does anyone know if the installation of the box, the way it hooks to the sides with J hooks, would interfere with a trail rail (like the one terraflex makes)?
Have a Sarge Green Rubicon. Yes color changes a bit in different lighting. Rarely do get direct sunlight. Even a little cloud cover changes color. But I do notice that many of the photos on the computer/internet seem a bit off compared to how looks in real life.
I think the color is supreme...
Would not mind Rhino lining my hardtop on future. Black for contrast, and durability. The new improved Rhino lining is similar to line x, compared to past. Past had more of a rubbery feel and less UV protection.
So some with the Mopar kit keep stock lca and add geometry correction brackets instead?
Mopar LCAs bs AEV geo correction brackets?
sounds like on both the Mopar or AEV kit, now reat
So thinking of going 315/70r17 tires, with AEV Saltas, the Saltas have a slight different offset from stock.
have Rubicon with the 285/70r17.
so if go the 315s with saltas, any issue keeping The stock spare tire? Will cause issues if use the spare since different size tire and wheel offset...
Is there a way to keep the bed lights turned off all the time? So as they never come on unless push them bed light button? Or just a way to permanently turn them off.
Yeah but with 37s really need to regear. 4.10 gears are good for 33-35 (34.5” actual on many). I think 35 or 315s pretty good. Plus like how the BFG ko2s come in a C loaded tire. Had some E rated tires on a Wrangjer I had, man those were stiff and led to a very uncomfortable road ride.
No desire to re-gear and loose power with 37s, plus do not want E rated tire.
Truck will be mainly :
Daily driver
Truck stuff
Occasional dirt road, trails. Backcountry. Possible overland trip.
Thanks for the info.
What are some options to down glare the shiny steel steering wheel trim?
anyone paint or buff out? Links to good over lays? Bitch to swap out with Mopar black one from JL? Thsnks.
Well after talking with AEV rep, he basically told me without steel bumpers, winch, etc a d using 35” tires that the 2.5” kit would sit me up too high, higher than 2.5” and leave to much open space. He said the 2.5” is really for loaded down jeeps with 37”. I have no desire to do 37”, add new...
Yeah no kidding, those duck are stupid in my opinion. Seems to me to be a chick thing since I always see female jerp drivers with ducks plastered all over their dash board
Bear with me. Read some old post but trying get more feedback. Especially since now probably some had both kits on for many miles/years.
Debating between Mopar 2” kit and the AEV 2” spacer kit - on my JT Rubicon.
Mopar would be dealer installed, will
give me decent discount on the kit and...
Gotcha. Thanks. Plan then is rhino line, add rail, then add tire carrier. Started a thread just on the tire carrier. As don’t see much info/photos/videos on it.
