I know it is kind of last minute but I wanted to extend the invite to everyone. Hitting the trails at Wolf Den Run in my stock JTR this Saturday. It is a 3 hour drive for us so we won't be there until about 1100 or 1200.
Oh rad, obligatory tyfys. I work over on the side of the base with USCC, we could work down the hall from each other. Due to my assignment code I will leave here this December then move on to my last assignment before I also retire, can't wait for that.
Air Force but I am stationed at Fort Meade mixing it up with these goobers. Wife and I will try to make it, I will know more for certain closer to the date. Her work schedule is hectic right before wedding season picks up.
I was just at Rausch Creek this weekend. No lift and stock tires was ROUGH. Lost count of how many times we banged and scrapped the underside. Thankfully no damage, just scratches and gouges out of the skids. Coming from a lifted JK I am not used to the metal on rock sounds so I might be overly...
I could most likely make it that Saturday, waiting for the wife to confirm no other obligations. Never been to any of those spots but I live about 3 hours away. I am in a mostly stock Rubicon but I have a winch, some extra skids and a good bit of recovery gear. Lots of experience crawling in...
I appreciate the advice and input @Jaxmax and @TheOpa, truly. I have a lot of parts to include a MC lift I want to get for the truck but we have been focused other stuff like exploring this part of the country AND we want to see where the military will move us in a year before throwing 10k at...
Yea I feel you on the mindset that they can do a lot. I have done the BoH trail Peters Mill and was in 2Hi 90% of the time. But that is about it for non pavement driving in the JT. I used to have a JK and TJ that I went to MOAB in so I have a decent amount of experience, just not in this new...
I saw a couple Metalcloak bumpers but neither had the big stinger so here is my contribution to the thread. It's been on for a year now and I still love how it looks. I get asked often if it blocks the front camera, it does not.
My wife and I are big fans of this combo:

Set up is super easy, mattress is comfy and inflates/deflates itself. The 5 times we have used it we cant find a complaint. Also, we can...
I had a very similar set of criteria when bumper shopping. Everything you said plus I also wanted the winch to be at least somewhat recessed in and I NEEDED a stinger of some type. It doesn't block the silly front camera either which is a bonus if I ever use the thing.
I am biased but the Metalcloak bumper is the best. Instructions say you have to drill out some holes however I would suggest trying to see if the bolts fit first because I ended up only needed to drill one of the holes.
New fear unlocked! Now I get to worry that my neoprene cover is actually hurting my winch line in rainy MD. Sounds like after a good rain I should be taking the cover off to check if the rope is wet and let it dry out some if so.
Concur. The (seemingly) complaining stance would make me not want to do a giveaway again if it was me trying to give away free stuff. Don't want to do the facebooks? Then go sign up for the newsletter like they said and you have a chance to win. Appears to be a non-issue to me..... Keep doing...
