This is what I did as well. Wire is very expensive and I used all copper jumper cables and cut the ends off for wiring. For whatever reason, buying the heavy gauge cable for this by sourcing from jumper cables was much cheaper. Be sure you read the descriptions carefully and get 100% copper cables.
Same here. I have KO2s on 4 vehicles. Fantastic tire. Have never owned Open Roads but also have been so happy with the BFGs that I never really considered anything else.
Due to the wide stance of my rig, I’m picking up rock chips on the hinges. In one of the new Sema YouTube videos I saw a guy demonstrate this DIY coating from Seymour. I’m considering taking the hinges off and coating them with this stuff. What are you guys think...
I've heard your arguments on this before, and while you have many great contributions to this forum, you are just plain wrong about this. Its a poor design to have an "auxiliary" non critical system disable the entire vehicle. Rationalize away all you want and wax poetic about how no one...
Have a Mojave with cloth and a Rubicon with leather. The Rubicon is hands down more comfortable to me - maybe Alpine is right because my leather is broken in, or maybe its personal preference. I'd love to swap someone seats in the Mojave if they like the cloth so much.
These are the replacement ones I have - note that they seem to use the same key for all the locks but they do at least lock.

I have purchased two sets of locking hood latches off of Amazon and they have both worked great. They came with a replacement for the hood rest if I follow your description. IOW, the latches came with the part that bolts to the fender and a smaller piece that replaces the catch on the hood.
The filter housing base is plastic and not so easily replaced - very poor choice. As I said, I'm glad you like the power plant, and I agree other manufacturers are not perfect. I expect Gladiator sales will continue to languish with the current choices of engines. Drive a Bronco and you'll be...
Just had to pile on to this thread. Have 2 gladiators and both 3rd brake lights have failed. Seriously ridiculous. Thanks for the pointer to the Dorman option - ordered 2.
I have a Mojave with cloth and a Rubicon with leather. Hands down for me, the leather seats in the Rubicon are more comfortable, but as others have said, this is a personal preference and your backside may have a different preference.
thanks for the info. I find the engine anemic with questionable design decisions such as oil filter housings that are prone to cracking. Honestly, the 3.6 is subpar in many ways to other modern V6s. Glad you like it, but it’s not my favorite.
Not sure who is rating, but would love to see that data. Our 3.6s have a high failure rate in the valve train; this is well known. I'm not sure of the long term reliability of the 4 popper, but I'm just personally not a fan of turbo 4 cylinders, and the 4xE is way too complex for me. I have both...
