Haha!! Looks like I'll be ordering the 2.5 Overland + Performance package this coming week with the Falcon SP2 3.3's. Looking forward to it. It's been a long wait to lift, and I settled on the Clayton. Screw Mopar and their veiled threats to possible warranty problems with an aftermarket...
I'm about to order a RockHard Patriot angled UP set soon. I'll have the local shop slap em on when they do my Clayton lift. Looked a long time, and feel good about the RockHards.
Try real gaffers tape. Similar to duck/duct tape, but no residue. At least if you buy quality stuff. Quite expensive though compared to duck tape. Haven't tried this brand, but it's what I landed on...
Yes. Had the local shop do it. I think it was about $100-150 to have them remove the factory PPF on the rear bumper and put on new 3M PPF from bottom to top. I didn't do the rear of the fender as it never gets rocks hitting it or mud on it to speak of.
BUT, ironically, PPF is not magic...
I have neither the time or energy for court and those schenanigans. The local dealer will be used as a last resort for me. Since my OEM warranty is still in place, I'm going to try to sell the extended warranty back if I can.
Here, let me help you out.
If you trust either congress or your dealer you are a lucky man. At this point, I trust neither. They both want my money without being honest or forthright.
That was NOT how the dealer here explained it. They said replacing a component with a non Mopar suspension part can/will void the warranty for anything in the drive train that said part might affect. I could care less if a spring or shock fails - the likelihood of that is minimal and...
Sigh....so I talked with a service advisor at the ONLY local Jeep dealer today. I got the feel that they were just trying to sell a Mopar lift and their install fee. When asked about doing a different lift from a 3rd party - I was told that it would "probably" void my warranty. That seems to...
Sounds like I'm going to need to have a heart to heart with the local jeep service manager to get their take on things. That should give a good indication as to how they will tend to lean. I admit, with jeeps being (arguably) the most modded vehicles out there, how does a dealership deal with...
I have an extended bumper to bumper warranty - and I was under the assumption - perhaps I am wrong - that virtually ANYTHING going bad that can be traced back to a lift and bigger tires i.e. engine, trans, transfer case, driveshafts, ball joints, steering components, death wobble and on and...
Thanks! I'm right there with you. This is my first jeep, and will be my first lift. The video and list of parts and why he added those parts was useful. Still learning here....
I did a lot of research before jumping in to the dash mount game. I chose Bulletpoint, and they have been rock solid for me on and offload. You might check out 67designs (although they are essentially the same as Bulletpoint). I've used RAM on my off-road motorcycles, and they are very stout...
