In short, yes. It will be a bit different. The farther away the added weight is from the axle, the more exaggerated the effect will be. So a winch at the very front of the vehicle or anything on the rear bumper like a tire swing will be noticeable.
I did this install with the Metalcloak spring isolators. Ended up being like $100 for shipping to AK.
Recommend just getting it over with and doing the rears too, especially if you think you'll have any kind of constant load in the bed (I have a topper on my bed). Swapping the springs restored...
Did you figure it out? I’m having problems with my tailgate actuator not working with remote lock/unlock. Wondering if it’s an electrical issue or an issue with the actuator assembly. Assembly replacements are like $60 or so.
In a way, kind of. I moved to Alaska but the grille is still in storage in GA. Whenever I come back to visit I’ll hit you up. Not sure when that will be but will be within the next 3 months or so.
It also depends on how often you go on trips. If you're willing to tolerate the ride for only a couple trips a year (where spacers might be ok), then that's different than if you're carrying a heavy load on a daily basis (where you'll definitely want new springs). So try it out with your typical...
The further rearward you place weight, the more pronounced effect that weight will have on the squat. Ditching the tire carrier or avoiding it in the first place is what I'd do, but you're obviously past that point.
Load all your gear in the bed and see how the ride is. If it rides rough like a...
if it wasn’t a raptor, it was probably on leaf springs in the rear, no?
Either way, although the video was absolute trash, I do believe the stock Ranger Raptor is superior to the stock Mojave in high speed sand scenarios in terms of body control. It seems like Ford sincerely put a lot of effort...
Just put in the Mojave X Springs on my 2023 Mojave. I paid $30 for the springs off fb marketplace. The truck rides and handles significantly better. Huge difference. I barely feel broken pavement, less dive-y when braking, less head toss, and less body roll when cornering. Factory ride height...
Great write up!
If you don’t mind answering a couple questions…
How is the screen brightness at night - does brightness adjust to ambient light conditions?
Does your phone always need to be connected to the WiFi?
How’s the glare on the screen glass on bright days?
I have the TrailCam option...
Did a forum search but couldn’t find anything about it. A few people have the 3 ton but has anyone used the newer 1.5 ton badland offroad jack?
Is the Gladiator just too heavy at 6200lbs stock for this to be a viable option?
If I went bottle jack instead, what would be the appropriate weight...
I think it’s because the factory springs pair well with the factory shocks, and a lot of those people (me included) want to retain those stock handling characteristics for a build without breaking the bank.
It’s hard to gauge how the truck will behave with a different aftermarket spring rate...
