  1. Keys stolen because I'm dumb

Glad to see someone beat me to this.
  2. Fox ATS - Loctite on the Pinch Bolt?

Did you just pull that bolt all the way out to add the lecture and reinstall?
  3. Fox ATS - Loctite on the Pinch Bolt?

Just installed this last night and had to adjust the reservoir location for clearance which involves loosening the (very tight) pinch bolt. Instructions recommend blue loctite on the threads. My question is, how and is this really necessary? If I just loosen the pinch bolt the threads aren’t...
  4. Steering Stabilizer Axle Bracket Torque Specs

Figure I’ll bump this once more just in case before the stabilizer arrives tomorrow.
  5. Steering Stabilizer Axle Bracket Torque Specs

That’s to attach the bracket to the shock. The step for attaching the bracket to the axle only says to tighten to factory specs.
  6. Steering Stabilizer Axle Bracket Torque Specs

I've got a Fox ATS stabilizer on the way to install. Just looking for firmer steering feel as i fixed my wandering issues with the extended LCAs for the Mopar 2” lift. However, I can’t seem to find any definitive value on the bolts that secure the bracket to the axle. Maybe there aren’t any...
  7. Swapping LCA as a novice

Long enough (or multiple extensions) will clear the body on the rear bolts. Not the front ones though. Those weren’t the problem ones anyway. The front one I could get decent leverage from in front of the bumper.
  8. Swapping LCA as a novice

To be fair I knew this going in. Soreness is just proof I did something.
  9. Swapping LCA as a novice

I did the whole thing with hand tools so it is possible but it is a bear. To get most of the bolts started I had to lift the breaker bar with my floor jack. Slowly. Probably a terrible idea but it was my only option. I’m not sure an impact only rated for 300 ft/lbs breakaway would get there...
  10. Swapping LCA as a novice

Nope. Stock Mojave. Since the Rubicon and Mojave are lifted vs the other trims but use the same LCA the extended LCAs return caster to 6ish degrees. My understanding is the other trims are already in the high 5 to low 6 degrees caster range. Seems though you have an HA so you’d likely not want...
  11. Swapping LCA as a novice

Just a follow up, I got the last stubborn bolt to 190 ft/lbs the next day. Got in a longer drive today and the Jeep is driving and tracking SO much better. Is it a sports car now? No and it’s not supposed to be. However, the difference is noticeable (to me) and worth the time, money, and most of...
  12. Swapping LCA as a novice

Well, everybody reassured me I could do it so I did the thing. Already had the arms here and was on the fence but it’s done! Ran out and got the tools I needed once I was off work and got into it. Probably should have picked up some ramps for more space to work because holy hell 190 ft/lbs took...
  13. Swapping LCA as a novice

I was reading up on the extended LCA for the Mopar 2” lift for my otherwise stock Mojave and it seems it may address most of my highway manners issues. My question is, as someone who has done very little wrenching, is this something I might be capable of doing? I’m good with most minor things...
  14. Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer Install Question

You’re just talking about replacing the front control arms, correct? I’m afraid the extended lower control arms may be outside my ability and/or tools. Mostly due to the torque specs but also getting the bolt holes aligned.
  15. Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer Install Question

There’s nothing wrong to my knowledge. I’m just looking for better highway manners. Lots of wandering.
  16. Fox ATS Steering Stabilizer Install Question

Long time lurker, first time poster… Been looking at a Fox ATS Steering stabilizer for my Mojave. Curious about the install procedure. Already aware I’ll need the old style bolt. Seems a couple of reviews stated the bracket Fox sends needs modification or “persuasion” in order to mount to the...
