Long time lurker, first time poster…

Been looking at a Fox ATS Steering stabilizer for my Mojave. Curious about the install procedure. Already aware I’ll need the old style bolt. Seems a couple of reviews stated the bracket Fox sends needs modification or “persuasion” in order to mount to the stock mounting points.

Anyone have experience with installing this on an otherwise stock Gladiator? May go with the Teraflex if it is indeed an issue.

Is something wrong with the stock stabilizer? Usually, a beefy stabilizer like the Fox ATS is needed when upgrading to much larger tires.

There’s nothing wrong to my knowledge. I’m just looking for better highway manners. Lots of wandering.

I have the Fox ATS waiting to go on my Mojave. Came across your post and ordered the new bolt. I will let you know when I install.

I mounted a FOX ATS on my 2020 JTR with no fuss and no muss as the product came in the box. I noticed a slight improvement over the minor steering wander with the stock damper. I keep the Fox cranked to the stiffest setting.

I have a 2 inch lift and 315s. zero offset wheels. I mounted my ATS with the hi mount kit. It really makes a difference on the freeway. I had no wobble with the factory one but now it's better at higher speed.

I recently installed this one. I ordered the “bolt you need” but ended up not needing it. Possible that Fox updated their process?

interesting. What year is your truck? I think the bolt was changed mid year on the 2021 models

I was going to wait for the 'old' bolt to arrive, but i guess i could go crawl under the truck and see if the bolt i have fits

After months of tweaks and adjustments, it is my opinion that the number one cause of Mojave highway wander is insufficient caster.

The Mopar extended control arms are the cheap and easy improvement, but everything you do helps.

Check all torques, check toe setting, check the steering gearbox bolts and free play, install the improved stabilizer, install the Metalcloak (easiest to install on Mojave) sector shaft brace, install the longer control arms / adjustable control arms / or geometry correction brackets.

You’re just talking about replacing the front control arms, correct?

I’m afraid the extended lower control arms may be outside my ability and/or tools. Mostly due to the torque specs but also getting the bolt holes aligned.

it was a pretty straight forward install. Nothing most people couldn’t do on their own.

I am selling mine that has only 2000 miles on it. My Mojave got rear ended and totaled.
