Thanks for the detailed write up. My 21 eco diesel just got out of the shop for injector failures at 41k miles. I am now seriously questioning the reliability of taking it on long trips. Question about the diy oil changes. Did they ask for proof on oil and filters? If so, does it have to be oem...
Probably the timing chain cover gasket. I took my eco diesel in for the same thing. Be prepared to have it in the shop at least a month, due to back order on certain parts.
Update! Dealer got back to me with a diagnosis. Cylinder 5 injector cracked. Tech recommended to replace all injectors on L side of motor, and cylinder head. All covered through Jeep 100k mi powertrain warranty.
I will update once I find out some more information. Getting my hands on a scanner today I’ll update with codes. I only attempted to start it after it died on me. After that I haven’t cranked it.
I tried putting it on ACC a few times already and nothing is coming out. Battery is less than a year, I even put the aux back in. I’m looking into an Amazon scanner before I take it to the dealer Monday morning.
I have Jeep max care extended warranty. Will they fight me for the aftermarket exhaust ? Also I use Doc’s diesel filters. Wonder if that will be an issue with them as well.
