Iām not sure about the spring sleeves, I had them installed at a local shop. Heās adjusted them for me once already. Iāll check on it tomorrow.
it isnāt super loud, Iāve just got a bit of OCD good ears for annoying noises. š
I have a BDS 2 inch lift with the fox shocks option. It drives and handles great, but Iāve been chasing groans and squeaks when going over bumps or rough terrain ever since I had it installed. Iām not talking about things that heavily flex the suspension.
This is my first non-factory...
Running Nitto Recon Grapplers 37X11.5R17LT on my JTR with 4:10s. I was expecting to regear but havenāt felt the need over the last 7 months. I live in Illinois, but have been in the Smoky Mountains as well as some dirt and mud trails. No rock crawlingā¦
I see 8th a lot on the highway.
I totally understand the extra charge for the winch. Iāve had to do work on mine a couple times that has required me to remove it. It is easily 30 minutes of extra work on either side and I knew what Iām doing since I installed it.
What should I look for in a shop to regear my Rubicon? I am looking for someone to install 5:13 gears in my Gladiator running 37ās. Iāve Googled, but havenāt found anyone local.
I took the Rubicon sticker off my wifeās JLUR 4xe because she wanted to name her Jeep Lucy.
Recently traded it in for a 2DR Bronco (still have my JTR) and I wondered if they took Lucy off and put the Rubicon back on to help it sell.
I have them installed on my Gladiator and they are great other than being a bit of a pain to take on and off. I use them if Iāll be doorless for a couple days at least. I have a set of CMM rounds that I put on for quicker sessions.
My wifeās Wrangler JLUR 4xe has all the BSM, adaptive cruise...
Potentially, but my wifeās 4XE is certainly more expensive than the Gladiator both in replacement and probably in repairs with the battery complexity.
I have a 23 Gladiator Rubicon and 21 Wrangler 4XE Rubicon and the Gladiator is significantly more expensive. I shopped around and found similar discrepancies at most of the bigger names.
I spoke to my State Farm agent about it and they couldnāt tell me why. They even escalated to underwriting...
No issues rubbing at all and the 11.5 tires fit perfectly on the stock wheels. Less poke means the tires arenāt sticking out past the fenders. If you add spacers or change wheels to ones with different back spacing you will have rubber outside of your fenders.
I really like the look with them...
Went with 37x11.5x17 Nitto Recon Grapplers on the factory wheels with a 2ā BDS Lift with Fox 2.0 shocks. I drive a lot of gravel and sloppy roads when Iām not having fun so looking for less poke.

Iāll tell you I personally searched a ton before making my purchase, but still wasnāt confident. It seems like there are a lot of permutations of JT specs, wheel specs, tire size/widths, etc. that make getting an exact answer a challenge.
I ran mine on my 2023 JTR for about a week. I did have to add 3 washers to each steering stop and do a little trimming of the fender liners. I still had a really slight rub at full lock, but it was pretty minimal.
That being said, I wouldnāt have taken it off road, there really wasnāt much...
