Here is the link (unfortunately they are no longer on sale): Infinity REF307F
Also, they come with pretty big capacitors in the box to block the lower frequencies. Do not install them though if you have the “upgraded” Alpine system with the sub, etc. It already has the crossover network that...
My guess is the HK OEM/Mopar speakers do sound very similar in sound quality (to what I am hearing with the 307F’s) based on what I am hearing from people who have installed them.. That said, as you pointed out, I do not know because I have not personally heard them (as I have mentioned before)...
Oh, ok that makes sense then.. I probably would have spent more money on upgrading as well. But I have the 8.4 screen with the alpine sub, etc. Not the greatest sub by any means, but it will do.. If I want to do critical music listening at home in my media room.
Do you have the stock alpine subwoofer too? Running both together in tandem or just the Memphis sub?
I am sure adding the separate amp helped immensely too..
But have you heard the Infinity 307’s installed in the dash and soundbar and compared them to the mopars in the same vehicle/same electronics? And measured SPL to confirm output? I can’t speak for anything myself except the stock “upgraded” alpine speakers compared to the 307’s and Seven Trails...
Anything you buy from Crutchfield has an excellent return policy, nothing to lose to try.. As a former CI (Home audio/Home theaters) I am WAY more picky than most when it comes to audio especially stereo/2-channel music (if you heard my 2-channel system in my media room that I built, you’d know...
You got, glad to help!
Definitely go for the 307’s in the sound bar as well. As you mentioned, I adjusted the fader after installing both sets of 307’s, and it actually sounds much more balanced now, and I have it almost in the middle position, just slightly favoring the the front speakers. But...
WAY better, not even close..
People don’t seem to understand that the “upgraded” Alpine 3.5” driver has the midrange AND the high frequency’s being sent to it. The 4” driver in the sound bar and knee speakers are only for the mid bass frequencies, and the subwoofer takes care of the low...
From what I understand, the “upgraded” Alipne 3.5” “tweeter/midrange” (that suck btw) in the front dash and the 4” mid-bass drivers for the knee speakers upfront are identical to the 3.5” tweeter/midrange and 4” mid-bass driver in the soundbar. There is nothing special that has to be done to...
Interesting, I’m guessing you got some bad sets of 307’s or something. I can max out the system with 307’s in the front and the back without any hint of strain.. What resistors are you talking about? They come with small capacitors wired already into the 307’s. They also come with some much...
I put a set of 307’s in the 3.5” spot in the soundbar in back as well in the front dash. Much better balanced sound. Plays way louder than than it used too and much cleaner highs and mids.. I am a long time 2-channel home music enthusiast, and do a lot of dedicated music listening with my home...
Are you talking about the little capacitor that is already soldered in on the 4” Infinity speaker or the big capacitor that they supply in the box that is meant to block the lower frequencies?
Interestingly enough I bought the Kicker package from TrailSeven with the coaxial 3.5” for the dash and the Coaxial 6.5” plus the seperate tweeter for the soundbar and directly compared to having the Infinity 307F’s installed in the front and back and the Infinity’s sounded better and 1-2dB...
That is a very interesting discovery. Especially considering that quite a few like the Terra Acoustic speakers and say it is a great upgrade over the stock 3.5” speakers. But, I think you may be onto something regarding to the higher load of 6.8 ohms of the TA’s. I would expect them not to play...
Nicely done! Like you said in your thread, the 2024 is a little different layout. I’d be interested to know what frequency the crossover filters are set at for the 4” mid driver in Alpine system. Meaning what frequency do they low pass at and at what frequency are the high frequencies cut off...
Yes, I installed them both in my 2023 Mojave and compared.. The frequencies sent to the 3.5” and 4” are not the same. Alpine has crossover filters that send the higher frequencies to the 3.5” driver and the lower go to the 4” driver. Trouble is the stock 3.5” driver has terrible high frequency...
Yes, installed the ref307f’s.. You do have to either bend about a 1/4” of the tabs up for the dash. Another member cut of about that much, but I didn’t want to do that in case I wanted to return to Crutchfield (could easily bend back)..
I installed the Infinity’s in the soundbar as well as the dash and it sounds way better overall. Compared to the the TrailSeven Kicker speaker option that replaces the upper dash speakers and the complete soundbar solution, it sounds just as good and maybe a bit louder as well because the...
