Thanks. Front fender flare was 1/4” higher than rear before I added bumper and winch. I chose bilstein 5100 shocks. They say the kits are designed to be level.
Installed my new winch and bumper over the weekend, while doing political things simultaneously. ? strangest admin note I’ve ever seen in a Jeep forum not related to alternative fuel sources.
New bumper and winch. Probably going to finish the install tomorrow morning. Unfortunately had to re-tap a few holes that were buggered and that took some time.
Haven’t read entire thread, but I will go back. Not sure if anyone mentioned bringing back magnum v8’s with Dakota coming back. The hemi was never going to be as ubiquitous as GM LS motors. Also, more optional gear sets from the factory on every trim level would be appreciated.
I’m personally not a fan of parking right next to another Jeep, like vultron or power rangers. I do appreciate the buffer or directly across the aisle. Honda civic fast and furious people do that. Stop it if you’re that guy.
Let us know how test drive went. My coworker ordered one in 2022 and was still waiting in fall of 2023 last time we spoke about it. Idk if it was because it was ZR2 Bison.
255/85/17 is perfect for weekend warriors. Wonder how they compare to these. I have more mud, and logging trails than rocks near me. Excluding silver lake dunes in the mitten state.
When I was younger (98-02), everyone I worked with had fox bodies or f bodies. One person was trying to build his car to compete on drag strip and road course. It wasn’t great at either. The manager of the shop said something that stuck with me. “You can’t have both, there are too many...
I’ve experienced similar the first year I owned mine. It was similar to my 2door jk with skinny stock tires on sections of interstate during cold temps. Best description I have is feedback from the highway that you feel in steering wheel and seat. Lift, shocks and taller/wider/ heavier tires...
Are you still running factory 4.10 or did you regear? I notice that mine likes to hang out at 3000 rpm in 6th even though I can manually put in 7th and it maintains speed fairly well. I miss having a manual.
I had a similar issue in 2001 Silverado z71 with 5.3. Dealer said “short skirt piston slap” was normal noise for the engine. Following winter I went over 100k warranty and one piston decided to kiss the valves on a very cold start after sitting for a week while I was on vacation. It was roughly...
