I went ahead with the seat slammers and it worked great!

So I got went ahead and installed the seat slammers. Went with the full 2 inches and it definitely makes the visibility field open up! My head also doesn't rub against the sound bar anymore. Thanks a ton for the recommendation!

So, I am looking for something like the sunshade, but for the doors when the doors are off. I want to cruise around topless and doorless all summer, but I get some beat down sun for about 4 months. I want to see if I can buy (or make) sun shade doors that I can roll down when parked at work...

I didn't have the issue when I drove a Cherokee..the seat went waaaay down and the windshield slant came up high enough where it was never an issue. But I would take my gladiator over the cherokee any day of the week still...
