Yep. I'm 6'3 and I like to deadlift, so my glutes are like sitting on a phonebook. With my seat all the way down my head hits the hard top and sound bar. I removed the driverside sun visor to give me a chance at seeing out of the windshield. I know one person that had the dealership shave his seat's foam so he would sit lower.

Another brand was called the

Fulton Traffic Light Finder

My father had one of these on his 1954 Hudson & he swore by it.

Have not thought about it in years, I wonder whatever happened to it…
Maybe my brother has it in his 1954 Hudson Hornet Convertible ?
That's quite ironic. This one is from a '51 Hudson Commodore 6 Sedan that has been in our family since new.
Your Brother wouldn't happen to be Dale Cooper from Cincinnati?

That would be correct, sir!

A very good guess except there are not very many 54 Hudson convertible’s around these day…?…so it would be hard to guess wrong. ??

For lights that are too close, I lean way forward and look up (unless the top is off then I lean back and look up). It is not comfortable but that's what I've always done. Is there any enclosed automobile where you don't have to do that?

I didn't have the issue when I drove a Cherokee..the seat went waaaay down and the windshield slant came up high enough where it was never an issue. But I would take my gladiator over the cherokee any day of the week still...

Been driving for 54 years now, am 6’2” tall. Just about every car I have ever owned has the issue depending on: 1) where in the intersection the folks hung the light (near side, center, far side), 2) where I stopped the car, 3) is the top up or down.

Nothing says you have to pull up to the line at a traffic light. Just stop while you can still see the green light.

Not as nice as Dale's convertible, but also a rare body style & still fun to drive.
My '54 Club Coupe that was my Dad's car.

You are blessed to have the car still in the family and you can actually drive it!

When the zombie apocalypse comes you will be able to drive it and use the Gladiator…??

Common complaint. Solution: DDI seat slammers and flip your rearview mirror upside down for an extra inch or so of visibility.
So I got went ahead and installed the seat slammers. Went with the full 2 inches and it definitely makes the visibility field open up! My head also doesn't rub against the sound bar anymore. Thanks a ton for the recommendation!

I have the same issue with some stop lights when driving the JT. I look straight out at the top 1/3 of the windshield, sit much higher than what I like. My TJ OTOH, I look out at almost the centerline of the windshield, and the seats are a lot more comfortable.

I've been thinking about the DDI slammers, just not too keen on the seat brackets not being welded back together.
I went ahead with the seat slammers and it worked great!
