Hey Preston,
Why not just run your fridge & accessories from a portable power station and skip adding a 2nd batt?
My JT is a dedicated overlanding rig; I have an portable power stattion (Ecoflow River 2 Pro) which is mounted in the storage cabinet in of my GFC (basically in the bed). It charges...
I got tired of scrolling through the Tazer menus to see what I had each of the options set to (especially after un-marrying for a dealer visit or firmware update), and I find Z-Automotive's user guide to be a PITA to use... So I made myself a simple checklist that fits onto a two-sided sheet of...
I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to @Temperance for sharing the schematics and parts list to do this mod!! š„°
The instructions were clear, installation of the additional wire terminals was a breeze, and in the end it all works perfectly. It's nice that I can now engage the front (Eaton)...
I just measured; It's just shy of 82" to the roofline of my GFC. Again, I'm on 35's and have 1.5" Teraflex spacers. As long as you're not adding a Beef Rack or other roof rack system you should be able to stay under 7'.
OP here⦠I was able to find a local shop that will re-valve my rear shocks and I have an appointment with them in a couple weeks. Iāll report back here on how that works out.
I do agree that a RTT isnāt the right choice for all people & places, and I wouldnāt have one on a daily driver. In my...
Hey @Aleph
I have a GFC camper on my JTM⦠plus a steel bumper w/winch up front. I added 1.5ā Teraflex spacers and the truck is sittting perfectly flat and about 3/4ā above stock ride height. Iām also running a RockJock 1ā rear sway bar.
The front suspension still rides perfect, but I have a...
@MassAppeal16 @Mister Ed @Jim SoG @Banshee-Gladiator @Flyin6 @WILDHOBO
Thanks for the kind words! As I mentioned previously, the process I used on my switches is super labor-intensive and I don't currently have a way to make it more efficient/economical. My business is mechanical engineering...
The geometry on the back of the button caps is complex and thin, not ideal for 3D printing, but it may be worth a shot. I have a Bambu X1C w/AMS, which can do multiple colors. I'll take a stab at drawing up a sample button cap and see how it looks.
Even with a 3D printed part there would be a...
My trail cam functions the same as yours... I have to select the "cargo cam" from the on screen menu and then my FRT CAM aux button sends power to the camera. The configuration in Z Automotive's instructions has the front camera powered on any time the Jeep is on.
Thank you for the compliments...
It has always bugged me that the only way to rename the factory Aux switches in my JTM was to put a sticker on them (I used black DYMO tape w/white letters). Once the labels were stuck on the text on the buttons was no longer visible at night⦠and frankly they looked like crap. I searched all...
"Better off" is relative... taller springs might bet better if I wanted a higher spring rate (or dual/triple rate). However, my goal is to be at ~stock ride height with the same spring rate as stock. The spacers achieve that.
All Terrain does rad stuff and their Mojave shock swap program is...
TLDR; the "bypass zone" is a shock shaft (piston) position thing.
The bypass zone is a range at the center of piston travel where shock fluid is able to flow around ("bypass") the shim stack in the piston through the space between the inner and outer shock tubes and recirculate between the top...
Thanks Jack! I assume that the Max Tow springs are higher rate than the JTM's?? I don't follow why you'd want to increase the spring rate and not also increase damping? Please enlighten me.
Tony does cool stuff! However my understanding is that he has been focusing on JTR's with Fox 2.5's and...
Okay the rain finally let up...
There is (approximately) 4.5" of shaft exposed and the eye-to-eye shock length is (almost exactly) 22.125".
My JTM is sitting very very close to factory ride height. This is with stock springs and 1.5" spacers at all 4 corners, GFC camper on, & a full tank of...
