  1. Fixing CEL, Derating on 3.0

Yeah not a problem. Yeah that’s exactly it. Depending on the grade and ambient temp I have to play that game. I’m on 37’s MT and I also have the decked system and a go fast camper. I tend to push it to fast haha I can cruise going 85. On climbs I drop back to 70-75. I’m on 39’s BFG KM3, with...
  2. Fixing CEL, Derating on 3.0

Jtfie35, I noticed in your original post that you run Opti-Lube XPD with every fillup. I run Opti-Lube XPD in the winter when the temps are low. But the rest of the time I run a mix of Opti-Lube XL (3 oz) and Opti-Lube Summer Lube + (1 oz) that I premix into some Opti-Lube 4 oz bottles. I found...

  4. Fixing CEL, Derating on 3.0

Glad It helped Tennessee!! haha Yeah NM winds will get you every time. To answer your question it varies the true derate temps I have seen have been 250,252,246 this is due to assuming the gauge is trying to catch up to the actual temps. Only thing I can tell you if you don't let off the...
  5. Fixing CEL, Derating on 3.0

Currently on trip from TN to UT and got the Exhaust System Service Required message at the OK / TX border and it derated. Got to the next exit but my Bluetooth OBD2 and Gateway Bypass Cable were at home, so no way to do a forced regen. So we found a place to camp for the night. Next morning...
  6. Trying to Decide on sliders/steps.

I have the White Knuckle Sliders and like others have said, you put them on and touch them up as needed. There is really nothing to fail. They work as a step and provide a platform for us to move around on when setting up the RTT or deploying the Awning, so they were a perfect choice for us.
  7. Foot well light bulb

Reviving a dead thread. After getting swarmed by bugs after arriving late (after dark) to our camp site near a River this Summer I've been looking for a way to change the interior lights from White to Red and saw this thread and post by OH Jeeper. I recently saw the how to instructions that you...
  8. 40” tires with 4:56 gears??

I have a 22 JTRD and I’m running 39ā€ BFG KM3’s with 4.56 gears and it feels equal to stock tires and gearing. It pulls the same as it did stock (maybe slightly better), shifts about the same and still gets about the same fuel mileage as it did stock. I feel like it’s the perfect combination if...
  9. New gladiator diesel owner- suggestions for budget oriented overland build

I’m running the Rock Krawler 3ā€ Diesel specific lift on my JTRD that I built for Overlanding and have been real happy with it. I’m running a Canopy, RTT and Awning along with the AAL drawers and slides in the bed and it handles the additional weight great.
  10. Roof Top Tent on Cab Area Specficially

  11. First Time at GSMJI! Looking for pro tips to make the most of the event 🤘

Hi Jesse, My wife and I have been going to GSMJI since 2015 and it has grown exponentially over the years. It’s normally hot, so if the Underground Graphics booth is outside, take a water bottle, sun screen and hat to help you survive each day. If the booth is inside you’ll have AC but it can...
  12. L-Track Bed Rails + Attaching Tonneau, other accessories question...

  13. L-Track Bed Rails + Attaching Tonneau, other accessories question...

I run the Mac’s Tie Downs Gladiator Kit in mine, which is what’s commonly called L Track or Versa Track. I have been able to make most accessaries designed for the Trail Rail System work with the L Track. There are lots of item designed for L Track that I’ve used to make things work and the L...
  14. Diesel JT Ready For New Gears āš™ļø

I have a 22 JTDR and I’m running 39 X 13.50-17 BFB KM3’s which are closer to 38 inches than they are 39’s. I re-geared to 4.56 gears and it drives, shifts and accelerates basically the same as it did with stock gearing and tires. If you were happy with the way it pulled stock, go with 4.56. If...
  15. Starlink mini questions

The Anker is perfect for powering the Starlink Mini while off the grid. That’s surprising that your Mini has not shipped yet. I’m not aware of any shortage of them. I got ours at the local Best Buy and was able to walk out with it in hand. When they put them on sale for Memorial Day I checked...
  16. Starlink mini questions

I installed a Starlink Mini in our Gladiator back in April using the AAL Rear Overhead Molle Panel & Mounts. I power it using an Anker Solix C300 DC that I mounted under the rear seat. I connect the Starlink to one of the 100 watt USB-C ports on the C300 using a 10 ft USB-C Starlink Mini Cable...
  17. Recommended Interior Cleaners (Dashboard, Handles, etc.)

Mine came with the factory mats and I used Adam’s Rubber Mat & Liner Cleaner. It works great and made the mats look new without being slick. I replaced my Carpet & Mats with Armorlite and they recommend the same Adam’s cleaner that I used on the factory mats. I started using the Adam’s Rubber...
  18. Big Bend National Park

This is what we did when we went to Big Bend last April. We booked and camped at Cottonwood the first night and went to the Ranger Station first thing the next morning and booked primitive camp sites for the rest of our nights. We were there 4 nights total and camped at a different spot each...
