Appreciate the advice. I never had a diesel and half the crap you read makes you think it’s the worst engine ever, but from the people that actually have one, most love it. After driving it, no comparison to 3.6. I know I’m overtly this.
Ok. Thanks. sales guy tells me checked vin and didn’t require fuel pump recall, I checked the car fax and I see it was done. Is def pump handled under that recall or is that something different I need to ask about?
Haha. I know. It’s been sitting there for a bit and I will need to get it shipped to me in all likelihood. That said, anything I need to make sure dealership does maintenance wise? I know it’s certified but I can’t hang my hat on just that.
A year later and I’m still at it but….about to pull the trigger on a used eco diesel. Do I get the used diesel with low miles which is certified or do I take advantage of this current promos on 2025? Got an out the door price on a 25 Willys for 41k but the 3.0 is just amazing. Recall was already...
I hear ya. Problem is they can make those monthly payments as attractive as one needs by and bury fees/cost as they extend that loan out. Not to mention rates blow at the moment. To each his own but for me, I’ll plan to hopefully pay it off as quickly as possible so total cost does make a...
Just came across exact trim/color I want. Pre owned JT w 7k miles. 2021. Priced around 36k. I’m certainly considering it as it would run me at least another 10k to buy a new 23 which I don’t have at the moment. The warranty for the 23 is better though as that dealers offers what appears to be a...
Thanks. This along with everything from folks so far has been extremely helpful. I’m 100% going eco diesel. The torque, and not having to regear alone has me sold. MPG is icing on the cake. Now I just need to work a deal. There’s still a lot out there but prices rose since the Feb/March 20+%...
Agreed. That is the plan. I also think by waiting a bit prices settled and in my case went the wrong way. A month or so ago there was that mad panic that the 23s weren’t going. I’m not sure inventory now but I have noticed some of the better deals 43500 was best I saw for a loaded eco is now...
Also, if I buy the 3.0 used, is there any considerations I should be verifying/requesting be done from the dealer? If I don’t pick up a new one I just want to ensure if it’s been sitting for a bit I’m not walking away with a problem in terms of maintenance/recalls I should’ve addressed prior to...
Insane. I’ve heard when cared for diesels can last forever. Look no further than all the Mercedes diesels that get shipped overseas with 300k miles. Hence there are very few 3.0s on the used mkt, at least trim I want.
Great to know. It’s odd that most folks that have one love it but everything you read you worry if it’s going to be problematic. I’m hoping I can get one.
This is encouraging. I really would like to get this engine, just have use concerns but then I see people in your situation which is helpful. I also like that you haven’t had to regear. With the 3.6 I’ve heard both sides on regear but seems like most with 3.0 do not.
Im not too far- Washington. Good to know about tires. I just don’t think I hit enough highway to give the eco what it needs. But man I loved driving that engine.
Newbie here and what will be my first Jeep. Narrowed down to Willys trim and was set on the 3.6 until I drove the 3.0 which I lived. I’m aware of all the extra maintenance nonsense involved with the 3.0. However, I will only be driving it locally 5 miles a day in the hills of western PA with the...
I know this an old post but came across your Mojave and it’s exactly the color combo I’m looking for. My question is the black grill custom? I see some with it but most I’m seeing come with color matched grill. I personally love the black accents hence my desire for a Willys until I saw yours.
