I have a 23 Rubicon and was unhappy with highway speed handling. I put on a Clayton leveling kit and used Fox 2.0 shocks (as I recall, Clayton said that's what they tested their kit with). Much happier with the ride. Apparently there are many variables with "things". Some like the factory...
I put on a 27" inch antenna, I wanted it about even with the top of my windshield. The factory one was slightly taller and more flexible. I live in the woods with a lot of mountains. I knew a stubby wouldn't work well because of the wave thing. It is made by a company called "AntennaMastsRus"...
I had an old S10 alternator catch on fire...heard a squeeling sound, popped the hood and it was burning. Couldn't find anything to put it out with...started blowing on it :CWL:. It went out though...I would like to get something for those little things.
I purchased the "RokBlokz" mud flaps, you can order them with, or without the cut-out for the factory sliders, but I am uncertain if anything changed on the '25. I would just call them or send an e-mail to be certain. I didn't like the Weathertech flaps because I thought the different molds for...
I used a few scotch pads and scuffed everything up real good, bought a few cans of good quality cold galvanizing (zinc rich) paint and painted everything (including the bolts/washers). I then bought a few cans of semi-gloss black from the same company that made the zinc rich primer. It's been...
I installed some spacers (M8, 1/2ā) and used M8 1.25x50 flanged head bolts to install my rear Metal Cloak sway bar reinforcement brackets. I have the RocBlokz mudflaps.
I installed rear 3/4ā spacers. I am happy with the slight ārakeā now. At some point I may get different rims and slightly taller tires. I like the handling much better now when compared to the factory set-up.
I might add a .5 or 3/4ā rear spacerā¦havenāt decided. The gap between the fenders and tires is different from front to back, with more space in the front...and the Rubicon has high fenders, so the front looks higher. I havenāt noticed a change in mileageā¦itās still a brick with wheels! š
I thought it may be useful for members to see the leveling kit installed on a gas Rubicon with a steel bumper and factory 33ās. It also has new Fox 2.0 shocks. No other suspension modifications. After driving it around about 500 miles, the front is about 2ā high. The ride and handling is...
I had ordered the weather tech, it had the generic running board cut outs. I didn't like how they looked...I figured the cut outs would show with the Jeep being lifted a bit. I guess to save money they are doing one mold that fits multiple styles. Ended up sending them back and bought the...
I replaced the "red" shocks because they were too soft on the highway...very bouncy going around turns on slightly rough roads. Went with the Fox 2.0 because they were tested with my leveling kit. Much better than the Tenneco shocks.
I see in your profile it's a '24, and it started in March. Since it is under warranty, I would take it to the dealer. If nothing else you can get it on record. I would keep an eye on the oil level and if the mileage decreases. It might be useful to the dealer to know about the the level and mpg...
āIāll double check when I get home this evening, but I believe it looks like this photo.ā
Yes, it is like the photo. The support rails are attached to the cover, so when you roll it up, the supports are wrapped in the cover.
The second link is mine (Item JG5114), as I recall the cover is attached to the braces. I've had it almost a year and haven't rolled it up except once to try it to be honest. I'll double check when I get home this evening, but I believe it looks like this photo. We recently had several inches of...
I have the roll up Proven Ground one and rails. I personally like mounting the cover to the rails. Also, the cover has a three piece frame you put together and position. One half of the Velcro is on the outer edge. The back corners have a bracket that you position the cover into, then rotate in...
