So looking at the offset calculator shared, if you're running a -6mm vs the stock +44 on a rubicon, is that impacting any components like tie rods, etc? i found a couple good deals on mammoth wheels with a -6 offset 9" wide, and while i'll only be running them for a limited time with 35's...
Thanks all for the information. That page was clutch! Thanks for posting that. Unfortunately i had to pass on the wheels that were posted on market place. A great price, but the tires on them were "new" with a DOT code of 2013.
Trying to wrap my head around the offsets still. Iām looking at a Hankook dynamo mt 35x12.5x17 mounted to AEV Savegre wheels with a +10mm offset. Is this going to cause any issues on a stock gladiator? Rubbing anywhere or is the offset pushing the wheels out enough?
I donāt wheel every weekend...
Iāll be first to bring this back from the dead. Installing quadratec plates and the same happened on the drivers side transfer plate crossmember. Whatās the best fix? I know it need to get cut out so right now itās just temporarily bolted back in.
Alright final diagnosis, tech confirmed leakage around the VVT seals and seonsors on the passenger side. Replaced both the camshaft sensor seals, and VVL seals. no explanation as to what caused the failure. Just another fun day. IT was under warranty so nothing out of pocket. Just another thing...
Update #1 - they'd like to put in spark plugs and a new pcv valve based on mileage.... it has 22K on it. "Hmmmm, our computer must be malfunctioning because when we plug it in, it shows 99K"
drooped it off at jeep this morning. Letās see what they say. I did take a deeper look this weekend. The pvc looks to be saturated as well. I imagine it would only be a matter of time before I start getting a CEL on. Iāll keep the post updated
That's a great call out on the PCV, i didn't even think to check that. But with the hood open, would the smoke still get pulled to the front and exit out the grill?
Honestly on the top side i couldn't see anything "dripping", but again hopefulyl getting under there today or tomorrow to verfiy...
So this probably started 3 weeks ago. I was at a red light and smelled what i thought was burning oil. Didn't think anything of it as it's a fairly new low mileage 2023 (22K on it, 3.6L). Since then i would get the smell more and more so it wasn't a coincidence. Didn't see anything obvious under...
Part 2 of the summer project was adding a front bumper and winch. Lot of back and forth on what style i wanted, size etc. and landed on the Rugged Ridge HD Stubby Front and added the X-Striker bar. Paired it with the Rough Country Pro - 12000 lb winch. Snug fit for the winch but love the new...
Stumbled upon a new in box Bestop Highrock Rear Bumper on marketplace and really like the look and ability to add lights behind the mesh grills down the road. Haven't seen a lot of them around, but for $200 I couldn't pass it up!
Figured it was too good to be true š. Especially with that blanket. Not to mention all the parts they claim to have none of the photos were in the same spot.
I did this back in January when i had a genious idea to try an get sponsorship for being an influencer on "the insta" and tried to create an account. Lost interest real fast wiht that process.
I will say, i really dig the red wheels
Hey all, anyone ever see this "company" on facebook? Hard to tell what's legit and what's a scam. They list all these parts and accessories and stumbled here looking for the mopar steel bumper. They are responseive in the messenger app but can't find infomation around pick up delivery. Not sure...
Interesting that this thread popped up for me today. I was just thinking how you clean in there. I live int he woods and i just happened to look between the bed and cab refueling the other day to find it full of pine needles and leaves. I'll try the pressure washer but any other suggestions?
Anyone have a photo of a JT with the JK Rubicon Stubby ( 82214565AB )? I've heard yes it's a direct bolt and no it's not a direct bolt. I found a brand new one and curious about just how easy of a swap it is. It doesn't have the removable wings, but thinking i pick those up later.
