Mine is 2023 sport s gladiator, ecoDiesel, stock size tires/wheels, was told by dealer that is a learning transmission, after 13 months I noticed not liking that it would not up shift to lower gear soon enough, since peak torque is around 1400 rpm, and was not shifting at times to 1700+ would...
ESS said ready, selected battery Voltage for the Instrument display; came to a stop light;
Watching the battery V display when ESS shuts off engine; headlights on;
The Voltage begins dropping rapidly, within about 3 seconds the ESS starts up the engine;
Wondering what conclusions I can come too...
see this thread - https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/ess-dual-battery-system-operation.44028/;
The way I understand it is - when things working correctly - at all times when not in an ESS Stop event - the 2 batteries are connected together in parallel;
During the ESS Stop event -...
My research says needs to meet API SN, and Euro A3/B4 specifications;
Also must be 5W-40;
MS-12991 is also specified but I think if SN and A3/B4 are met would also meet MS-12991;
Reason is not Engine per se, but Emissions - EGR, DPF, SCR, DOC, Turbo;
This is for the Gen 3 engine, not Gen 1 or...
I did not mean to imply that my analysis was an exactly correct model, but useful
as a 1st order approximation;
Your pdf link - to Toyo tires has a graph that is very close to linear, which validates my thinking;
I was not trying to say what the patch area was exactly, but just calculate how...
My bought new in April 2024, 2023 ecoDiesel Gladiator - had the HPFP recall replaced. It was received by dealership in 12/2022, and could not be sold till the HPFP Recall repair was done;
It was only avail to buy when I did because the Recall was performed;
I also have 2015 Ram ecoDiesel -...
My 2023 ecoDIesel Gladiator door panel tire data spec says 245/75R17 112T; and 36 PSI;
The 112 is the Load Index, and the T is the speed rating;
The stock tires met exactly that spec - 245/75R17 112T;
Looking at the tire data for the stock tires shows max loading of 2469 lbs @44psi per tire...
My original post with the 2 Oscilloscope pics show the oscilloscope's digital calculations of various parameters with no-load and a 200W light bulb;
no-load was +162V, -164V Square Wave; RMS calculated as 118.37V;
200W load was +120V, - 122V Square Wave, RMS calculated as 107.13V;
Many other...
I am not sure what the 12V fuses are for folks that use 12V, but 400 watts at 12V is 33.33 Amps;
All the engineering, etc, that goes into providing, a 60 Hz 115 V power inverter to the vehicle - my view is why not provide a high quality pure sine wave inverter - considering they are not that...
Well Yes - I had an issue that motivated me to hook up the Oscilloscope; I was measuring the Voltage, and Hz/Frequency with two different LED measuring devices - photo of them attached, from Amazon - Normally they just work and nothing noticeable, but in the Gladiator when I pick them up to look...
In October 2023 I bought a 500 watt pure sine wave inverter from Amazon for close to $50;
That's 100 watts more than the gladiator 400 watt;
Attached is a Oscilloscope image of the Voltage - look at the Yellow plot, ignore the purple/blue - was testing something not relevant to this discussion;
I was curious about my 2023 jeep gladiator back seat Power Inverter Voltage; when I used simple V measurement tools,
a multimeter or a LED V only meter I saw strange results;
So hooked up oscilloscope - pics of no-load V shape, and 200W light bulb load V shape;
No mention of Voltage quality in...
Have noticed watching ESS Stop/Start Status - when reporting Ready and go down hill for awhile - when not much engine power needed,
ESS Status will change to Not Ready, then after while of level or up hill travel will show Ready again;
Seems is something related to exhaust temperature;
This is...
My 2023 gladiator with climate Auto set to Off, and A/C button set to Off will automatically turn on A/C if I am not careful with the Temperature setting;
My only info provided by system is outside Temp and Temp setting, no inside temp provided by system;
So I have to play with the temp setting...
