Thank you. I did see how it was done and did it slightly differently. I found I needed to feel it with my fingers as it went in, otherwise it would push in too far.
It's ugly, but it keeps the water out.
Sounds like the family 'fuck you' deal...I get one of those from my brother every time money is involved. But then I haven't spoken to that prick for about 15 years I suppose.
Your family is supposed to like you a little bit. In theory.
Awesome work! Wonder if you could get a photo of how it looks in the channel when you pull the damn out?
For me for now, I have used some of that rubber tubing that guys here have been using. Looks very amateur, and is temporary, but kept the rain out when I left her out in some heavy rains...
I see the Corvette is surprisingly way down the list, I would have thought it was high in the American built....but that's just based on guessing.
Thanks for sharing this list.
Excellent write up, thank you! I posted a question some time ago asking what people had used to repair bumper scuffs and could not get any inexpensive answers. Powdercoating and bedliner were the two main options I received, and just let the natural patina develop gracefully. Time to sand the...
Well hey big spender!
Did you watch the video on their website? Looks pretty easy and really my only concern was the size of the nozzle. Most dudes don't have the problem, but I'm wondering if it will fit in that tiny little channel? I was planning on running some masking tape along the painted...
I'm guessing it's rubber...could you put it in a bucket of hot soapy water and install it as you pull it out of the bucket? Make it pliable and slippery might make it easy to install.
Hey I am so sorry for your loss. I have only had 18 years with my lovely wife so far, and she had a cancer scare last year. It has made me think about mortality a lot and I am taking her to Italy in 2 weeks to make more memories.
Back to the Jeeps...I am 6' with a stock 2021 Rubicon. I did...
I would suggest a Rubicon if you can get into it comfortably. Given where you live and the weather, the last thing I think you would want is to have to get out to get yourself unstuck in the worst scenarios. Front and rear lockers are nice.
As for climbing in and out of vehicles, I find it's...
I watched a video on their website; the stuff comes in blue which is perfect for my hydro blue. It seems to have a similar viscosity to honey at 72º room temp. I'm sure I'd have to mask off the inside of the window as a precaution, and like you say, build a damn at each end.
All he has to do is rename shit. Like the ecodiesel could be called the ED model.
I'll see myself out.
I think more like a Fiat 500, the big family one.
My other cars are Subarus. I guess I was applying what they have done. I know there are other manufacturers doing the same thing. Maybe Jeep is an outlier in that respect?
I'm still using the theory of oil viscosities and temps and applying them to my climate.
My understanding is that the manufacturers recommend 0W20 to be used in vehicles in the USA. But in other countries they recommend viscosities such as 5W30.
I believe the EPA and whoever else has a hand in anything to do with cars, is that they push for better gas mileage and punish...
