Greed that’s what it all boils down to. The more they get the more they want! One of the absolute best vehicles I’ve ever bought, was also the least expensive. That was a 1995 Wrangler S, 4 cyl, 5 speed. No power steering, radio, AC, or even crank windows, just zippers. The only option was the...
Yea living in central Florida with a heart wave is more than enough, especially when your Jeep has a black Freedom Top. Oh it’s great to take the panels out, in the winter, but under the sun? My roof gets so hot the AC must run on MAX to cool down, or constantly on recycle with AC split between...
I would haggle for them to throw in the extra money to colorize the bedliner material, maybe even rein? Plus talk to the Line-X guy about spraying the lower rocker panels and behind the rear wheels up about 6”. That especially if color matched will be adding lots of protection.
As soon as you get it back, I would suggest trying to slowly apply the parking brake as you take off, if the noise returns and you can hear it, see it there’s any change in the sound, if no difference then at least you know it’s not the parking brake system. Good luck! I would also try liberally...
Who wouldn’t pay the difference in prices between the proven suppliers parts and those that fail early, like camshaft and valve train systems? Or the electrical engineers? I would like to see a fixed amount of cost difference!
I’ll tell you this, no matter what they put on paper, the diesel comparison goes to the Colorado for heavy towing, that also goes for the current gen gas engine.
While I currently don’t have a CAI, on my latest a 24 Gladiator 3.6. I have used K&N CAI systems on others, that depends upon the vehicle you have. Some like the 5.3 in a 2005 Avalanche I had responded well, with an extra 1-2 mph city and highway respectively, with better response, but that’s...
I have driven cars with actual turn signal activated cornering lights, that work pretty well, like much better than none. I have noticed the fogs on my Gladiator do help when turning off the road into a driveway or intersection, that when totally dark with no street lights absolutely do help to...
Or Colorado diesel even longer. But between the two? Even after owning two last gen Colorados, one a diesel, with my current being a24 Gladiator Sport S. Both trucks are very different and similar at the same time. But the Baby Max is a better choice, in a chassis with higher payload capacity.
It would be great to see the Scrambler pay homage to the original, a two door, 4 seat with a 6’ bed this time around. Have the 3.6 standard with automatic, new 2.0 Hurricane optionally available. With a beefed up Max Tow/Payload. Oh and have the rear seats removable, or fold a tumble, with a...
Ok very informative video. The best idea as far as the Dorman oil cooler is concerned, if it’s not leaking don’t touch it! But when the time comes to change the plugs, or fix camshaft/lifter, or any time the intake manifold need to be removed? That’s the best time to deal with it, because most...
That’s the opposite way you want the caster changed. The front axle must be laid back, not tilted forward. Longer lower arms add caster, that prevents death wobble and steering wheel return to center coming out of a turn.
Sadly like most of made in US brands, they get bought out by greedy leader/investors, who bleed the company dry, then either liquidate or send production out of the US, leaving hundreds if not thousands of fellow Countrymen out of work. All in the name of profits.
Rear Bob? My 2024 Sport S, with hardtop and no tow package has no bob. Matter of fact it’s not even level till I add a 500lbs load in the bed with my wife and I in the front seats. That’s like 3/4 of the payload rating. The ride and handling is the best of any live front axle I’ve ever been in...
I am curious, is there a way to throw $$$$$, less than the ? $34k+ 425 conversion amount at a 3.6? To make it bulletproof and more power? There has to be a way?
Having proudly served in The U.S. Army, during the closing daze of the M715 5/4 ton truck, of which we had 14 in our Motor Pool, all with the OHC straight six. That could carry a decent load over some of the toughest terrain and 30” water crossings, unless you had a deep water fording kit that...
If for some reason the premature wear of certain parts are due to lubrication, or lack of? Too bad nobody has tried to add a supplemental oil feed to the top of the valve cover, that would feed more oil right to the area. That would hopefully help. Or it’s just a flaw in the metallurgy process...
Yea mine have leaked since new, right at calf hight on both sides in the front. But only in the intense new auto car wash during the complete high pressure rinse. I’m thinking of adding some type of silicone hose like 1/8” placed within the present seals, using silicone to hold it in place, so...
