Ok, so I took the EGR valve off and cleaned it lots of carbon build up looked like it was stuck open. After cleaning it up I reinstalled it and started right up and is running fine now and no lights on the dash. I guess my question now is why after 25K miles this was in this condition?

So two weeks to the day I picked up the JT, the drive home was quiet like really quiet. It sounds better than when I bought it, now we will see how long it will last. If it happens again a decision will have to be made.

So I just got off the phone with the dealer, they have had the jeep over a week now and just tore into it this morning. They said defiantly a lifter issue and since this is the second time they will be doing all of them plus the cams. I guess we will see if this is the fix, I am 50/50 on keeping...

Dropping mine off today, this will be the second time in for the Penstar Tick! This one sounds louder than the last one or maybe I just caught it sooner the first time. I wonder at what point they replace the entire top end or a new motor? Dealer said Jeep is covering the cost to repair!!
