Progress update:
got some swatches in From CERAKOTE as well as 75th anniversary trail rated badges and a tow hook from a 2014 75th anniversary wrangler. I’m leaning towards the Vortex CERAKOTE as a closer match. What do y'all think?
Yes sir! And great pictures! I can definitely see what you mean about tight parking! I used to have a Wrangler JK with about a 6 inch lift in a manual. It made parking anywhere we went an adventure in itself.
I believe with your setup a decked system will definitely limit the amount of...
Hey there my Kiwi friend! I have a friend of mine who lives just outside of Tauranga. Awesome setup! How’s that snorkel working out for you? I’m interested in putting one on myself. At the moment my rig is a bit of a mall crawler, but that won’t be its life forever. I have delusions of grandeur...
Nice!! I agree, jeep has an awesome heritage. 80 years of rolling bricks less aerodynamic than a cow. But you’d be hard pressed to find another vehicle with a more diehard fan base.
Great suggestion! I do like the look of the 80th anniversary edition, however I’m a huge fan of the burnt bronze as well as the look of the Dragon Edition.
Couldn’t agree more! I wanted to get tan interior when I ordered my Rubicon X but sadly they didn’t offer it as a factory option. I’m thinking I may go for that same look with the topographical inset if I don’t go the dragon edition route.
Probably! Jeep did have a 2014 Wrangler Dragon Edition that as a kid I really loved. I was thinking of a hybrid between that and the 75th anniversary. Haven’t fully made up my mind yet. I’m definitely going to start off with the 75th anniversary changes. All the dragon stuff can always be added...
This is what I’m drawing on for inspiration.
I have always loved the look of the Dragon edition as well and am thinking of a hybrid between the two.
If I do get the dragon decal it would have to be in the same color as the bronze I choose or black in order not to blend into the silver of the...
So far I’ve ordered paint switches from CERAKOTE and Prismatic Powders to see what color looks best. I’ve also ordered a few pieces off of a wrecked 75th anniversary edition wrangler to better match the original color. Those parts will be arriving in a few days.
here’s a photo of some of the...
So far I did some interior mods to prep for taking the dogs around.
GooseGear rear seat removal and back wall replacement: 8/10 stars on this one. Instructions were very unclear and some panels were installed backwards incorrectly from the factory which made it take much longer. I covered the...
Hello! This is my first post on a Jeep Forum. I’m planning on building a hard core overlanding setup with my Gladiator but in the meantime I’m planning on making it my own by turning it into a 75th anniversary tribute. I’m a big fan of the burnt bronze color and think it will look good with my...
