Hello! This is my first post on a Jeep Forum. I’m planning on building a hard core overlanding setup with my Gladiator but in the meantime I’m planning on making it my own by turning it into a 75th anniversary tribute. I’m a big fan of the burnt bronze color and think it will look good with my paint color.

I’ll be posting progress and asking for opinions and feedback and look forward to seeing what you all think!

So far I did some interior mods to prep for taking the dogs around.

GooseGear rear seat removal and back wall replacement: 8/10 stars on this one. Instructions were very unclear and some panels were installed backwards incorrectly from the factory which made it take much longer. I covered the floor and wall with self adhesive EVA foam used for boats which is nice traction for dogs and spill and stain resistant

ThinSkins Door Covers: 10/10 these slide onto the inside of the rear door and make an excellent protective cover to keep the dogs from destroying the door cards.

DV8 Front door net replacement: 9/10 fit and finish are great. Easy to install. The reason it’s not a full 10 is because it protrudes into the footwell a little too much. Makes shifting a little difficult and you can’t access the seat controls.

American adventure labs rear door mesh replacement: 9/10 fit and finish and installation was great. It’s a 9/10 due to having to drill holes to mount it. I was going to do the DV8 rear door mesh replacement however with the Goose-Gear system the doors wouldn’t close with them installed.

Decked bed drawer system: another 8/10 instructions were also unclear and had to bounce between the printed directions and the video to try and make sense of everything. They seemed to be more focused on cracking jokes than making the instructions make sense.

Borla Atak Exhaust: 10/10 love it. I’m a motor head through and through. Until I eventually do a hellcat swap I wanted to do something to wake it up a bit. Mine is a manual and being able to actually hear the revs definitely helps.

So far I’ve ordered paint switches from CERAKOTE and Prismatic Powders to see what color looks best. I’ve also ordered a few pieces off of a wrecked 75th anniversary edition wrangler to better match the original color. Those parts will be arriving in a few days.

here’s a photo of some of the swatches I received from Prismatic next to the color of my gladiator.

I also read somewhere that the GM Dark Bronze Mist is a close match. I painted an ABS pistol case I had laying around to compare

I’ll be replacing all the exterior logos and badges.

I also have original 75th anniversary badges and emblems on the way as well

The first image is an example of the color I’m looking to match

I’m very much looking forward to hearing any opinions and suggestions yall may have!

This is what I’m drawing on for inspiration.

I have always loved the look of the Dragon edition as well and am thinking of a hybrid between the two.

If I do get the dragon decal it would have to be in the same color as the bronze I choose or black in order not to blend into the silver of the gladiator itself.

The jeep Wayout concept ( I believe it’s the way out 🤷 feel free to correct me, a picture is attached) has an amazing topographical interior. Maybe a combination of the tan with the bronze accents will look good?
Let me know your thoughts!

Those dragon graphics look badass. But maybe better suited on a Suzuki Samurai?
Probably! Jeep did have a 2014 Wrangler Dragon Edition that as a kid I really loved. I was thinking of a hybrid between that and the 75th anniversary. Haven’t fully made up my mind yet. I’m definitely going to start off with the 75th anniversary changes. All the dragon stuff can always be added later if I decide to go that route. Thanks!

Nice truck and theme.

Those saddle brown seats from the Farout are gorgeous.

Couldn’t agree more! I wanted to get tan interior when I ordered my Rubicon X but sadly they didn’t offer it as a factory option. I’m thinking I may go for that same look with the topographical inset if I don’t go the dragon edition route.

Why not go for the 80th anniversary edition which was in 2021 they had a Gladiator 80th edition , mine has the side badges. Yours looks great and a lot of personal touches is cool. Welcome!….Jack

Great suggestion! I do like the look of the 80th anniversary edition, however I’m a huge fan of the burnt bronze as well as the look of the Dragon Edition.

Are the bumpers of the 80’th anniversary edition the same color as the badges? Or are they still black? Thanks!

Still black!
I get the 75th bronze Wrangler accents will look cool though instead of a couple badges. Mine is a Mojave not 80th Ann. Edition but badges were cheap back then and eighty years of a vehicle still as ugly as the original flat fender, but still beautiful in execution is pretty cool.😎

Nice!! I agree, jeep has an awesome heritage. 80 years of rolling bricks less aerodynamic than a cow. But you’d be hard pressed to find another vehicle with a more diehard fan base.
