I’m running the same shocks, not sure of the stroke tho.
It would be nice to keep the COG lower on my build so if I can get the Clayton kit to work that would be nice. My wallet will thank me too lol
My big concern is I’ve got a Clayton 2.5” Lift Kit, I’m really hoping I won’t need a new lift. That’ll change my time frame if so. We just put a Metalcloak lift kit on my wife’s diesel gladiator. It’s such a nice kit, I’m a bit jealous.
Thank you, I appreciate your Time and input.
Because this is my daily as well as my weekend warrior on road drivability is equally important to me as off-road capability.
Thanks, I’ve seen it before. Between the JT and JL forum it seems like 4.56 at minimum and No deeper than 4.88 YMMV
Was hoping to get more real world feedback
Good to know, I wonder if there is a solution for the 05+ ABS swap portion

Is that why you chose the years you did?
This thread is such perfect timing!!
I have a 21’ JLURD and I’m looking at building axles from a 05+ Super Duty. I can’t do the fab work myself but my local shop will be helping me with that. When I talked with them they seemed to think we can build a set for much cheaper than buying a set of...
Sorry I know this is a bit of an older thread.
I have a 21 JLURD and I’m looking at buying a set of locally built up 1 ton axles. Only problem I’d they have 5.13 gearing. I’ve read through this thread and countless others. The general consensus seems 4.56 to 4.88 max on 40’s
Does this sound...
I’ve currently got a 2.5” Clayton Lift kit with Fox 2.5 dsc shocks. Since I don’t do much rock crawling I’m hoping to get by with what I currently have.

I currently have a 21 JLURD and I’m looking at putting a set of Super Duty axles 2012’ +
I haven’t seen anyone use anything that new and I can’t seem to find much information on it. My shop guy said go with 2012+ and find one with the e locker.
I called the local junk yard and I can get a set...
D load range at 69lbs I believe, I hated that they barely measured 35” mounted. I know no tire measures what is advertised especially when mounted but come on, almost 2” smaller!
These Hankooks are d load Range and only 1lb heavier, start at 17/32” vs ko2 at 15/32” and measure 35 13/16”...
My JL is Diesel and My wife’s JT Is diesel, No regear for me unless I move to 1 tons and 40’s. I am going to get the Green Diesel Tune on my JL soon too.
I wish there was more options in 38’s, 11.5/12.5/and 13.5
I had to get new tires just last week and had @Discount Tire prices match a set of...
Falken supposed to release the AT4 in 3rd quarter of this year in 38x13.5r17 d load
I’ll be interested to see the weight on them and how people like them. I was going to order 38’s but there aren’t many options and I didn’t want to pony up for the Apex Steering boost just to run them.
