I bought the Rock Slide Engineering slider. They showed off their goods for the Gladiator at SEMA and I liked how rugged the slider was. I especially like that it’s designed as a step up to the bed. Here’s a short vid of their stuff.

The skids were pricey but where I off road we deal with big rocks. My 05 TJ has skids with deep gouges that saved me many times. I’m a believer in armor.

Summit 4x4 in Prescott, AZ got the skids installed on my JTR today. This pic shows most of the plates in place. i added the skid that protects the hitch and possibly the rear bumper. I'm not going to do a lift on this Jeep, so the skids are necessary for trips to Moab and even for Broken...

My TJ will be going to my son now that I have the new JT. My TJ has been to Moab 5 times and has explored throughout Arizona. So many great memories. That’s what owning a Jeep is all about.

2005 TJ fried its engine management computer this year. Parts no longer available through Jeep. Had to find a company that knew how to flash the engine serial number onto a used one. It took about $2K for the complete replacement.
