Let’s be honest with ourselves; our Jeeps can do much of what we ask of them from the factory. Explore on a stock platform and you’ll surely find limitations, but overall, they’re pretty good right out of the box. This build was to be strategic in its objective: keep it relatively simple, save...
This saved me from a huge headache. The instructions tell you to use the factory flag nut with the AEV supplied bolt on the bottom mount and the factory bolt with the AEV nut on the top mount. As OP explained, the thread pitches are not compatible. Use the factory bolt and flag nut on the bottom...
60x56” rack. The only issue is that the canopy is narrower at the front and wider at the back and annoyingly the rails follow this taper. I was able to drill holes through the rack and run bolts in six locations but it did require me to grind small sections of the rack for a flat mounting...
Each side is joined together with a deutsch splitter and then routed through the top of the canopy, into a hole in the bed, and then along the frame rail. Just follow the factory wire loom. In the future I plan to hide the wire in a channel for a cleaner look but it works for now.
You're right, it is and they have a right to share their negative opinions, as there is value in opposition. But unless its constructive that value drops off sharply. Still, at the end of the day most don't care if you (not you personally) don't like something anyway so I don't know why I'm...
Seems so odd for people to voice their negative opinions about a product that is not on their Jeep and was purchased with exactly zero of their dollars. It’s easier to just be quiet and let everybody enjoy their build.
Anyway glad you dig it! Nice to see the grills have finally shipped and...
After a year of using the Contour I can report that it’s holding up quite well and making the Gladiator so much more functional. So far I’ve installed a Rhino Rack (flush mount to the Alucab rails), Hardkorr Hyperfloods, Hardkorr interior lights, and mounts for traction boards, CO2, and Pro...
If I didn’t foresee the need for additional seating I would have deleted the whole thing! But for your case, keeping just one seat and maximizing the platform size is a great compromise.
For months I considered purchasing a seat delete. While I appreciate the build quality from large-scale companies, I couldn't justify the price. $750 for 3/4 of a box was a hard pill to swallow, so I decided to build my own. The problem I also had was the under-utilization of space. To be fair...

Hello from Tucson! Sold my full size diesel and picked up this Max Tow in June. I have been super impressed with it! Doing a much simpler build this go around; function and simplicity over form. Added a switch module, some lights, rubicon rails, Alucab canopy, and a JK AEV front bumper (direct...
