Curious here - has anyone mounted the Alucab ladder inside the canopy (to store)? Like using the top t-track and 'quick fists' clamps or something? Seeing if anything is out there or ideas

I know 813 Fab has made one for the modcaps...

@BSchanze, I used the overhead tracks combined with four Frontrunner Eye Bolts for Tracks and a pair of Frontrunner Stratchit Shorties. This keeps it up and out of the way with no impact to rear visibility and I can leave the ladder in the case/sleeve. The ladder has remained firmly in place through some really rough terrain.

wires are now tucked in to the rails and run down front of the canopy. Maybe later i will drill holes for the wires
What bracket did you use to mount your Flex Era 1’s?

After a year of using the Contour I can report that it’s holding up quite well and making the Gladiator so much more functional. So far I’ve installed a Rhino Rack (flush mount to the Alucab rails), Hardkorr Hyperfloods, Hardkorr interior lights, and mounts for traction boards, CO2, and Pro Eagle jack.

The interior lights are controlled by a panel that’s flush mounted to the inside bedrail. Scene lights are wired into a switch panel in the cab so they can be operated without getting out of the truck

You have any photos on how you routed the scene lights from the cap to the engine bay?

Which Rhino Rack did you go with? Any complications mounting it directly to the Alu-cab? Was considering this for mine.

Each side is joined together with a deutsch splitter and then routed through the top of the canopy, into a hole in the bed, and then along the frame rail. Just follow the factory wire loom. In the future I plan to hide the wire in a channel for a cleaner look but it works for now.

60x56” rack. The only issue is that the canopy is narrower at the front and wider at the back and annoyingly the rails follow this taper. I was able to drill holes through the rack and run bolts in six locations but it did require me to grind small sections of the rack for a flat mounting surface. This can be avoided by purchasing a wider rack but I wanted a more narrow profile.

Joined the Alu-Cab Contour Canopy club yesterday! So happy with it. Looks great with our Tuscadero JT Willys, imo.

Ours was used so has the little connectors for the lights and third brake lights, but I’m not sure where they’re supposed to connect to?

I think I want to wire the cap lights to the bed lights so they always come on with that, as we won’t be camping in this anytime soon. But the third light on the back, while not really needed, I kind of want to put one of these (safe) strobes to it and wire it to work as it should; a brake light.

I’m just starting this research now, but if anyone has resources for wiring diagrams to do these projects I’d be truly grateful.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions, y’all! 🤣

Fortunately, I was able to find power for the third brake light of the Alu-Cab from the passenger tail light and then power for the cab lights from the drivers side bed light.

Took a few hours cause I messed up the ground on the brake light which took a minute for me to identify but everything is working well thus far!

My wife and I wanna run a fridge in the bed which means power back there and a bed slide I think.
