New Electronic Deadbolt for Alu-Cab Canopy Campers

Our new Rear Door Electronic Security Deadbolt System for the Alu-Cab Canopy Camper installs easily and gives the rear door a strong center-locking deadbolt for the door that works with your electronic locks and key fob. The deadbolt system is available in black texture powder coat or raw stainless steel. The deadbolt system is also available with or without the control box mounting plate as many may already have a MOLLE panel on the door that the control box can be mounted to. The Rear Door Electronic Security Deadbolt System will come pre-installed with a Thunderbolt Van Lock installed the lock housing. We designed the lock housing to be as compatible as possible with existing MOLLE panels and lower door tables, but, some trimming may be required for the lock housing to fit properly.

Jeremy, do you think this could be adapted for the Contour camper?

It could be adapted for anything. The key thing is it works off the vehicle's remote locking.

It would be up to you to figure out mounting, clearances, and interference issues.
My mind is already running around thinking about fitting this to a RLD.

They mention that this is based on the thunderbolt van lock mechanism. So you could go there and get one of their products if you wanted to make up the mounts yourself.

The key thing to realize is that the lock and electronics itself is made by Thunderbolt. What 813 does is make it a "turn key" install on an alucab with no need to fabricate or engineer anything.

Yeah, my issues is fabricating the mounts. But I might try it. The Contour canopy is great, but the locks suck.

If they make a mount for your rig, then it's a no brainer over buying the OEM product. The premium they charge for their mount and jeep specific installations is very reasonable.

Hey Paul, shoot me some pics of the area. It may be possible to come up with a mount. Next time I see one in person I will see what I can do. I have been asked this a few times.
