I have both trucks...2021 Ram 2500 hemi 4dr cab for work and 2022 JT Max tow for wife and personal use. Bought both used w/about 50K on them. Both have been great trucks.
The Ram 2500 is quieter, will haul loads better and possibly more comfortable. 10-14 MPG (my truck is always loaded...
I had a 1964 gladiator j200 w/7’ bed. put a caddy 472 big block in it w/turbo 400 trans and Dana 20 transfer case. Original motor was a 230 tornado w/3 on the tree.
miss that truck….
I used the LOD winch plate for a “plastic bumper install” with the badlands apex 12000 winch. Worked great. Good luck with your install. I was impressed with the winch kit, very complete and well set up.
the only thing I didn’t care for was the mounting system….square nut in a slot on the...
That's what I suspected, good to hear with better drivability and hopefully improved mileage. Was hoping that having 8 gears to choose from vs. 6 gears might be more better.
Thank you for your insight. A set of 4.88 gears may be in my future.
I have a 2022 Sport S Max Tow that I just put 255/85R17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's on (skinny 35's) with a 2" Mopar lift. So I cannot give you much fitment advise on stock height, but also consider your usage and gearing. I did a ton of research on 35's with 4.10 gears. Trying not to...
When I recalibrated, I started by putting in the 34" measured diameter. Passing a few local radar speed traps, I found it to be off a little. So I measured the rolling radius and put that value in X 2 (33.3) and now it seems to be right on based on 3 different radar speed traps. I have a trip...
local Jeep dealer has the buy 3 get 1 for a dollar deal going on, then I saw a like new single tire on marketplace relatively close by for a matching spare - figured it was a sign. AND now I saw Mickey Thompson is offering a spring rebate right now. Too many signs not to order a set - looking...
Anybody REGRET running this size on there rig with 4.10 gears?
Read the "issues" thread, but I would assume that those are isolated failures with a particular manufacturing lot.
Lots of positive reviews on these tires and considering a set or 255/85r17's for my Sport S tow max. I do not plan...
You might try removing each driveshaft one at a time and see if the vibration goes away. If so, you maybe able to get it down to which driveshaft is causing the vibration or eliminate the driveshafts altogether. Disclaimer - not sure if there is something that would prevent you from driving in...
Driveshaft certainly could be the cause. Maybe check them over to see if there is any balancing weights are knocked off or other damage. Possibly if the shop did not mark and reinstall the driveshaft in the same orientation to the pinion flanges, I suppose this could cause it too. I try to do...
I'll keep adding as I have time and think of things....
McCormick Wilderness Tract is cool - has basically 2 established hiking trails in it. One is in the SW corner and goes to White Deer Lake. The second is out of the NE corner of the tract and goes to the Yellow Dog Falls. Both are great...
Regarding Drummond Island camping - In addition to campgrounds, you can disperse camp on State Land on Drummond Island or anywhere in the State of MI. There are dispersed camping permits available thru the MDNR website and regulations on where (or where you are not allowed) to disperse camp...
Glad you like them. I put a set on my CJ-8 (33x10.50-15's) several years ago because they were the only MT available in that size at the time...now everybody is making that size again. I thought they were heavy too compared to the BFG-MTs I was replacing.
I think they are better in the snow...
Thank you for your break down and info on the Gladiators! Did you tow much with your tow max on 35's with 4.10 gears...if so how heavy of a trailer? I am contemplating some skinny 35's for our tow max and really torn on doing it due to drivability and some mild towing. Probably going to see if...
