I see many posts about pushing the engine (within reason), rather than constantly lugging it at lower RPMs. My experiences are the exact opposite. The engines in my 2020 GC and 2023 JL2Door were far less pushed than the engine in my 2025 JT. An I live in FL, with only a couple trips through GA...
Have you inspected the intake manifold for excessive oil deposit? Maybe the PCV is letting the engine ingest too much vapors from the crank case. (If there is a visible wet film behind the throttle blade, and maybe backside of blade wet from oil, Id inspect/replace the PCV.

Probably running on a timer. Must’ve been the ticking noise I heard when I opened the page. Oh, wait - the phone is getting hot…..I see smoke now……out here.

You're making my point. I don't think the chain driven quad OHC in the 3.6 is necessarily easy on oil. And since to my understanding, the valve train (rollers/follower) are lubed by oil spray (not pressurized oil feed), I will aim at using oil with great shear strength.
While I've never used HPL, I'd venture to say that it is notably more robust than the typical off the shelf 0W30. And yes - I've read nothing but great reviews/opinions about HPL.
Strictly comparing oils by their advertised grade can quickly become very convoluted. I've used M1 5W30 Silver...
I vividly remember telling myself that the the 3.6 PUG was redesigned to eliminate the well known valve train issues the first gen 3.6 had........... (I know......that 'hindsight 20/20' thing.......)
