fair - I don’t love my decision. However I was scarred early in my life when a buddy of mine hydro-locked in Moab.
I watched him rent a Uhaul just to tow his dead Jeep home. Always scared and have looked towards prevention.
But I’m with you and if I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t do it.
So I’m considering selling my baby. I love my JT, however my family needs an SUV, my wife just purchased her new Wrangler Sahara after years of driving the family car. I’m looking at possibly getting a Wagoneer, but they are spendy!
On to the JT- I took some quick photos at Costco tonight...
Not sure what auto I have. It’s a 3.6L 2021 Sport S with factory 4:10s
I’ve the last few days it is holding high rpm’s on flat roads. For example, not shifting out of 5th gear going 55 mph at ~3.5k rpms.
while exhibiting this when I slow down to make a turn I find it aggressively down shifting...
I’m looking for some simple front sway bar end links for a 2.5” lift.
Let me know if you have something in your garage that could help me.
I can arrange and pre-pay UPS shipping.
Cheers!
3/21 Took delivery
Bomb Cyclone 12/22
It’s an enlarged toe w/ARB bumpers, lights, snork - warn winch - rubi suspension, rails and flares plus LED Head & Fog lights - Tera 2” spacer - Toyo 35’s on Fuel 17’s and my favorite upgrade Hot Heads w/ sound assassin!
next up AEV Savarge II wheels...
Looking for Mojave shocks and possibly springs/bump stops.
I have a UPS shipper account so I can handle the postage directly.
Let me know what you have lying around the garage.
Cheers!
Ryan
This is great news as I will likely need to source a take off kit that will need to be shipped and knowing that I don't need to account for control arms or other items extends my search radius.
I recognize the obvious differences such as springs, shocks, bump stops etc..
My question surrounds the control arms - are they different on a Mojave or do they share the same specs as Sport?
Are there any other unique parts that I will need to source beyond the springs, shocks and bump stops...
Getting a lot of input that It doesn't appear that the AEV is the right way to go. Beyond the Mojave take off approach - are there other options to consider beyond AEV?
All - Current set up is a Sport S (V6) with Rubicon Flares and 4:10 gears w/Rubicon suspension and a Teraflex 2" spacer lift running Toyo ATIII (35x12.5x17) on 17x9 wheels. In addition, metal bumpers (F&R) with winch (syn line).
I'm looking for a more plush road ride, I live in N. Michigan...
For what it’s worth I have the 3.6 and when I mounted lights and bumper - a few people warned me of overheating and I’ve had zero issues.
Granted I live in the Midwest so not the warmest spot on earth. Just my 2 cents of experience.
ARB Bondi Full Width. If you don’t have a rubicon, you’ll need to swap out your flares for this one to fit. Likely will fit Mohave too.
I have a Sport and I ran for a month without my Rubi flares that were on back order. The fit was too tight and scratched the bumper.
Overall love it - fit...
I have a set of Max Tow Black (non-painted) fenders with inner fenders and turn signals. These are located in the Milwaukee area. I’m moving in two weeks and need these gone.
they only have 1k miles maybe on them. Probably have a few light scratches.
$195 obo. Pick up only.
