So I’m considering selling my baby. I love my JT, however my family needs an SUV, my wife just purchased her new Wrangler Sahara after years of driving the family car. I’m looking at possibly getting a Wagoneer, but they are spendy!

On to the JT- I took some quick photos at Costco tonight. There are no stories, it’s a mall crawler non-smoker vehicle

Let me know what you'd list it for and what your bottom dollar would be. I'm looking to see what the market would likely pay not try to recoup some percentage of my mods.

Does it flood a lot around malls in your area?
fair - I don’t love my decision. However I was scarred early in my life when a buddy of mine hydro-locked in Moab.

I watched him rent a Uhaul just to tow his dead Jeep home. Always scared and have looked towards prevention.

But I’m with you and if I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t do it.

We traded our new to us 2022 Willys Sport base as base can get with 7k miles on it for the price we paid for it $42k. It obviously depends on lots of factors, not the least of which your location.

You probably can't get more than $15k for it, but just to be a nice guy I'd be willing to come buy at that price this weekend ;)

Lessons learned I've had mine in water but there are many places in Michigan to take your Gladiator without him to worry about sinking it in water. There are even many areas around traverse City that are great for off-roading.

Start with high KBB private sale numbers and go down from there. Cant do too much with add ons and it will take a particular person to buy as it sits. You should be able to add some of the aftermarket items in the KBB selections. Also have you put it to Carvana or similar to see what they would offer you?

pull the topper and sell it separately. If you have the OEM bumpers i'd reinstall.

I agree with the posts that mention returning to stock as much as possible with the exception of the larger tires. You'll get very little $$ for the aftermarket items. As nice as the stuff is, the buyer base does shrink the further from stock you get. Also invest in a full-blown professional detail for a few hundred bucks as you will get that back. With lots of competition out there, I would shoot for 40K. This comes from 30+ years in the car business.

Besides, you might do better with it after removing and selling the add-ons later. ;)

As sits, list at $45k (will be a tough sell because of the competition at that price point). As stated previously, I would recommend pulling most off the extra goods and then listing at $40K (leave wheels/tires/leveling kit on). If I were near you I would be very interested in your ARB bumper and soft topper. Those two items probably get your $1500 right off the bat (they're ~$2700 new?).

I was in the same boat as you, buddy: trade/sell the JT for the Wagoneer. Still off road in most places, just more comfy and more spacious for family and dogs.

As I posted in my thread earlier, I made the decision to keep the JT as I've grown so attached to it especially since Gobi is no longer a color option and this is my first Jeep.

Wife said if I pay off the JT we can get a Wagoneer. Anyone need their lawn mowed?
