I see what you're saying but it could just be the fake camo panels over the windows? Seeing how the other prototypes are it seems they all have it at this stage.
Marchione spoke at the detroit show yesterday and talked about JT:
"The Jeep Wrangler-based pickup truck does not yet have a name, despite press reports that it will carry the historic "Gladiator" name. Marchionne said the Jeep pickup will be "expensive; intentionally so" because it is designed...
Jeep's shooting to sell 100k of these a year right? Well this definitely helps that goal. If it was just a JL with a bed attached you'd probably lose the owners cross shopping it with the popular midsize pickups that actually have good tow and payload capabilities.
Have you seen the JLU Rubicon prototypes and how much fender clearance there is?! Looks like it could fit 35's, especially if parts of that fender is modular/removable.

Yea, I'd say the 503hp/440lb-ft 2.9L twin turbo V6 from the Alfa Giulia QV would do mighty well in propelling a high powered Jeep Gladiator model to take on the Ranger Raptor!
The 3500 lbs limit could be cuz Jeep only rates its hitch as Class II - meaning maximum of 3500. This might be because of the way that the hitch mounts to the rear frame cross rail and not to the side rails. O could just be a CYA # to prevent lawsuits.
The running changes very early on after production starts is common for brand new models. They're usually small fixes here and there that go unnoticed.
I'm thinking no way the JT doesn't get fully removable top since we now know the JL/JLU have it. If that's part of the essence of what a Wrangler is, then would make sense that the Wrangler pickup also gets it.
