diff leak

Hi All, first post on the forum here. I have some damage to my front diff cover and into the diff housing a little bit. It’s causing a very slow leak, no dripping at all. Local 4x4 shop said they would fix by welding new metal on then grinding flat. My other option would be getting a new diff...

So I was servicing my 2022 gladiator Mojave and I noticed there is some oil leak from what I believe to be the electronic diff locker connector. Any ideas what might cause this? Will this affect it if I don’t fix it right away? Also worth mentioning a couple months back I installed a teraflex...
