Time to stop being sentimental, gotta let go of something, so I've decided to sell the 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo Special Edition I bought from my father's estate in 2018. He bought it less than a year before he was killed and had to show it off to me and my brothers as other than the ONLY vehicle he ever bought new - his 2010 Ranger, this was the best used vehicle he'd ever bought and he was proud of it.
Be realistic - it's a 2004 with 127,000-128,000 miles on it. But, it starts easily, drives fine and is still a fun Jeep. It's ideal for a JEEP person.
4.0, automatic, new rocker panels put on a little over a year ago (I had that done), runs and drives good, brakes good but the ABS light is on. That MAY be the ABS controller/computer.
I put a new battery in it a year ago. Not rotted but there's a shield around the gas tank that looks nasty.
Things that need attention -
*ABS
*Driver door electric lock doesn't work remotely or using the switch, likely caused by the known common broken wire problem between door and door frame where it flexes
*Rear wiper doesn't function. It used to - sort of, but finally stopped.
*Fog lights- I've found those on Amazon for 50 bucks but never ordered them.
*Wheels are scarred - look ok from a distance but need to be restored.
*Something amiss with the remote driver door mirror - like a spring or something is bad or off because the mirror head moved too easily so I stuck it in place with silicone. The mirror itself adjusts fine, but the whole head pivoted too easily and if you bumped it, it moved.
Has tow package.
I BELIEVE Dad had the local Jeep dealer replace the radiator shortly after he bought it. I have the service records for it here somewhere.
I'll get more info and better pictures - these were taken right after I brought it home.
Body shop polished the headlights when they did the rocker panels.
For a quickie price check I popped into KBB and plugged in the info, figure about $4500 unless I find other information otherwise.
