Today I helped a friend install his Maximus 3 Bed rails on his Mojave along with Ace Rick Sliders.

Turned out rely good. We did a bit of extra fabrication in order to keep the factory bed cover fully functional. The only feature lost is the ability to fold it all the way up against the glass.

Thanks -- The bed rails really help make this gladiator look much better. My friend ordered the factory folding hard cover shown here:

The 2 side rails where removed, and the Maximus-3 hardware installed. Then the rails where cut at front and back to go around the weld. They sit on top of the Maximus-3.

We also had to notch the sides of the factory cover rail to allow it to sit closer to the inside. This gave it the necessary width to allow the cover to open and close without much effort.

At the tail gate end, there are 2 screws from the factory that hold the cover rails in place. These have a spacer in them. We removed those spacers, and tightened the screw further to suck it in.

When closing, it takes a bit of effort to get the last bit closed. That could be corrected with more cutting, but we deemed it not necessary.

The only parts that we cut on where the 2 rails that support the cover.

The remaining hardware bolted into place as was designed.

You do lose the ability to do the final fold where it leans up against the glass, but that is a small price to pay to get the cover working.

I absolutely LOVE the Maximus 3 sport bar and SO want this on my Gladiator. But I absolutely want to keep the functionality of my folding hard cover. I’m not able to fab anything (wish I had the skills!) so I’d really like to see Maximus dev a solution. I have no doubt this would fly off the shelves if they could make a mod to the bar system so that is clears a folding hard cover!
