What it impacts stability-wise (bump-steer, brake-steer, etc.) depends on not just how far out you move the CENTER of the tire, but how tall the tire is as well.
Scrub radius - look it up. It can screw you up royally, or can be your friend.

As far as visual impact, "throwing crap up the side (and out the back) look into your local laws. Some places don't give a rip - some do (and in Iowa, throwing crap to the side and at the vehicle behind you can get you into a nasty road-rage thing - been there when it happened - so be aware of your impact on others, if any. People here get pissy - ask my friend from Toronto how our locals act)

If you want to avoid the poke, AEV has a couple nice options with the correct off set. I do love those Black Rhino ones, I just don’t want the poke on my truck. Right now I’m running 35”s on stock wheels.
