I hear you. I'm over 60 too. In fact, quite a way over 60. I bought a '24 Mojave Gladiator - the one with the highest access, of course. Simply putting my right leg in and then figuring out how to get the rest of me in just wasn't cutting it. I decided I had to outthink this dilemma, so I did.

Now, I get in the Jeep the same way I get out. I back up to the door, put one leg on the sidestep I installed, grab the hand grip on the pillar with my right hand, and stand up on the helper step. At that point all I have to do is sit down in the driver seat.

It's an extra step or two as compare with sticking your right leg in, but it has become automatic. I just do it without thinking about it.

This getting old thing has its challenges. I've been taught that I would rather die living than live dying.
