I do IT stuff so I can buy Jeep stuff.
My JTR has 4.10s, the 3.6 gasser and an automatic. I've been running Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 37s for just over 4k miles now and KMC Trail 17x9 wheels. I didn't keep precise records, but probably lost ~2mpg in combined driving. I don't see 8th gear that often - only on the highway when it's flat or downhill.

I'd say its a completely driveable combination, but I am also saving up some money to regear to 5.13 at some point. I do miss some of the low end grunt when towing and fully loaded up.

Exactly the same experience with 37” Toyo R/T’s, 4.10, AT and an overweight Rubicon. I’ll see 15mpg on the long drives.

Same…but I shift into 8th manually or just get up to speed and simply let off skinny pedal and it shifts into 8th….sometimes lol

Presently, 35” Wildpeak, .410’s and average 16mpg without losing 8th..most of the time..

37" 4:10's Rubicon, Forgeline wheels and Nittos, 80-85mph on the highway 15-16 mpg, slower seeing 17-19mpg I want to regear to 4:88's,

returned to stock for a dealer service visit, shift points changed, mileage went back up, big problem here in FL, overpasses convertor locks up, downshifts and takes miles to unlock and rpm's drop back down,
