The current MOPAR 3.0 oil filter, an unbranded unit from eBay, and the previous 14-18' EcoD oil filter. This is for comparative purposes, with no endorsement or opinion either way.

The filter is difficult to remove from the housing, using a roto-lock type clamping design. I suspect you'd destroy the old one to get it out. They appear identical save the o-rings, color of filter media, and different logo/badging. Note the clear differences with the earlier generation filter; the two designs are in no way compatible.
