Amsoil MS doesn't have the MS-12991 Chrysler approval, but that's not a concern unless you're worried about warranty. In short, Chrysler has a contract with Shell, so they only recommend oils from Shell's lineup (Pennzoil, Quaker State, Rotella, etc.). Unfortunately, Pennzoil Euro was the best they offered for the 3rd gen EcoDiesel. But in all honesty, the Amsoil Euro MS is a better oil for both emissions and for engine protection.I was going to switch the the Amsoil that you have on the top shelf in the photo but on there website it says it does not fit my vehicle. Am I missing something? Just want to be safe.
We also have guys testing Amsoil Signature Series. So far, that performs even better than Amsoil MS. We just need to make sure that Amsoil Signature Series isn't leaving deposits in the turbo. So, we have a few guys using a borescope to examine the turbo once they get some miles on it.
