Have the new exhaust in place but can’t for the life of me get the stock ball clamp to tighten enough to hold the old exhaust to the new exhaust. I’m sure it’s operator error. I put the pieces together and tightened the clamp until it was completely closed and it was still loose. Any tricks /suggestions are appreciated.

I had to cut off the ball end of the stock exhaust and add in an id/od adapter to get it to work.

I had to hold the muffler and push it towards the rear of the truck to tighten it. Wrestled with it for a good 30 minutes, but it is solid. For now at least. It's been on for maybe just over a month. I think I had to that when I installed the AFE rock basher on my JLUR too. But that one has been on for a few years. It might have fit better, can't remember.
