Personally, I have the trail rails, next time I would just rivnut L-track into my bed. The trail rails are okay, but l-track you can add/remove mounts anywhere along the length without sliding in mounts from a specific end. My topper clamps onto the bed rail and blocks parts of the rail and me from being able to freely put the tie down mounts anywhere without removing clamps. I've also had to add/remove the trailrails multiple times for various projects (molle, bedrug) and bolting into rivnuts would've been much more convenient/adaptable than the OEM setup.
