Airbedz - Softopper - Anyone using this combo?

Hoping to sleep in the back with the tailgate shut and not be too cramped. Don’t want to remove the topper for a tent and hoping to not need to fab anything to extend the softopper over an open tailgate. I’m only 5’8”, maybe sleep diagonal?

I had a softopper and also a bestop. I'm 5,7 and sleep with the tailgate down. Made this cover that goes over the bestop and cover the tailgate. Not the best photo but hopefully you get the idea haha.
