Alien Sunshade on a 2024 - Took a chance….. Ugh…

The Alien shade doesn’t use any screws or rollers…. It’s all bungees wrapped around everything. Even the bungees in the center/rear were too short (or the holes in shade need to be moved inward to use the contour of the speakers.

I have a Mojave X with (what I think is) the Premium sound system. There could be a difference between speakers (OEM vs Premium).

I was able to get mine installed with the premium stuff. Did you pull the bungees very hard? Yeah they were tight, but they worked. They may be a bit too tight, but still worked.

Can you access the panel latches, or if you had a Sunrider, could you unlatch that, or latch it when closed?

i had no problems putting my freedom panels back on after I was done installing it all. There is enough room to get your hands / fingers up to latch each one. The fronts latch you have to manuever the shade a hair but i think thats common.

Yes, it's common - the Spiderweb sunshade is pretty tight up there and you have to have strong fingers to get through and run the latch. Just so it's no worse than that.

I really appreciated the photo.... I just received the Spiderweb shade from Amazon.
It DID NOT come with these nubbins.
The bag has 8 of #2's ......all were the same.

Spiderweb does not interfere with the side airbags. Pretty easy to install. The creases are nearly gone from it being shipped. Picture is the day I installed it.

Yeah it's on there website, I thought about it but wasn't sure how well their green would match the Mojito green. I had their beige color trying to match with my Sahara Tan 2011 and it didn't look right, I've just stayed with black since.

I would’ve bought blue, but ended up getting black.

The beige one I had suffered from that too, the black did a better job IMHO. I was talking with a guy that as a Tuscadero pink (like my wife) and had a pink shade, was way to bright for me.

i was never satisfied with my alien shade. the bungee system and stretching it, just was not worth it IMO. id rather just have soft top all the same.

side note: i wear a hat alot and put my sunglasses on the brim. I kept scratchng my lenses and couldnt figure out why.......it was my sunshade.

I had blue before....no problem. Glare? Heck no

But my blue one was SpiderWeb, not Alien........... so maybe it's an alien thing, they just glow or glare.
